Voice message icon showing but no message

I have an unlocked 3G 2.2 iphone on Orange. The phone app shows a red dot with no number inside it. Voice mail shows the the same red dot. When I go into voicemail, I am advised that there are no messages. When I come out of voice mail, the red dot remains against voice mail icon and, on the main menu, on the phone icon.

When I do get a message, '1+' appears inside the red dot. I pick up the message , receive confirmation that there are no more messages but the red dot still remains.

Does anyone know how I get rid fo the red dot or know what the '+' inside the red dot refers to?

You can contact orange and have them refresh your voice mailbox but if that doesn't work you can connect your phone to iTunes on a computer and restore the software. Set up as new and see if the issue persist. If it is fixed you can try to restore from your back up. If the issue comes back when you put your information on there, then you will need to set up as new

Iphone 3 doesn't switch on.

You probably, reset your phone setting, and if you were jail broken, 2 many factors would affect your device and cause this problem, 1-if you were unofficialy unlocked your device by ultrasn0w or Sam . 2-you may have updated your firmware via iTunes and that would lock you phone and cause that error, you need to searh iclarified dot come or modmyi forum

How to format IPHONE3G.

Formatting an iPhone 3G will erase all the data on your phone, delete all your apps and reset your phone to factory settings. Formatting your phone is a good last resort if you're having software issues with your phone. Keep in mind that the format is permanent and any data irrecoverable.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.Click the "Settings" icon.

2.Select "General."

3.Scroll to the bottom and select "Reset."

4.Select "Erase All Content and Settings." A warning message will display. Confirm your selection. The iPhone screen will turn off then show a "waiting" sign. After formatting is complete, the Apple logo will display and finally your formatted iPhone will reboot.

My iphone 3g freeze after I end call. and it has been like that since 340am, now is 1040am. what should i do?

Remove all the apps running in the background to free up some memory.
To do that, double-tap on the HOME button to expose the apps running on the background. To stop them from running, tap and hold on one exposed icon until they wiggle, then tap the red, negative button on the corner of each icon.

Deleted voice mail in error, is there anyway to retrieve?

  • Start by tapping the "Phone" icon on your iPhone.
  • 2 Next, access your voice mail messages by tapping the "Voicemail" icon.
  • 3 Look at your list of current voice messages. If you have any messages that are eligible for recovery, you'll see an item at the very bottom called "Deleted Messages". Tap on this to access a list of your deleted messages.
  • 4 You should now see a list of deleted voice messages. If you see the message that you want to recover, tap on it and choose "Undelete".
  • 5 Your voice message will now be sent back to the main list of current voice mail messages.
  • 6 Repeat steps 1-5 for "each" message you wish to recover. This may take time!
