Usually when that happens, it means you need developer for your copier. What is the copy count?

It can lack developer in the revealing unit it checks and it adds or it replaces.

If the image is good in parts, but light in others it is most often toner build up on the laser exposure glass which can be easily -but also VERY CAREFULLYremoved. If you lift the green handle for the toner bottle, you should see a narrow piece of glass protruding just underneath. You can grasp it with you fingers and slide it out for cleaning. Sometimes these have been removed (or broken) so they are not there. If the machine is also a printer, you should see much improvement (if this was the cause). If regular copying is still light in areas, then you may want to remove the copier glass - 2 screws on left scale, and 3 screws on rear scale (POWER OFF ON MACHINE), remove glass and clean with glass cleaner, then slide scanner to the left and clean the mirrors.
Hope this helps.

Afficio 450 olridy change developer but the copy is stil faded

There are two service codes that you need to run 2801 and 2805 after you put the developer in the machine.

Press the yellow button on the copier. press 107 on the keyboard. Press and hold the clear button. Then run the service codes.

You have to run the codes first after changing the developer. You might have to replace the developer again to get the correct mixture.

Look into replacing the developer in your copier. It has to be replaced every 125,000 cycles.

Copier.... afficio 450 vs konica 7025

You're talking about two really old machines, the 450 from 1998 & the 7025 from 2000.
Both are about the same class, but I'd give the edge to Ricoh since it was also sold under a number of other brands & replacement parts are readily available.
Hope this helps...

The fuser probably will not help. I think you probably will need a PCU, and a service call.
