I have a Sony S-Master 5.1 inch full digital amplifier sound system that has a 5 disc cd changer, surround sounds and a radio. It turns on and the radio works great but when I insert a CD or DVD is m

Won't read a CD or DVD. Makes funny clicking sounds inside the unit and just displays "Reading but doesn't read anything. It won't go to next, it won't take another disc or move along the 5-disc system. It turns on fine though and the radio and speakers work great.

SOURCE: Surround sound from Sky +

To upmix 2-channel sound (such as that in a TV broadcast) into 5.1 sound, press AMP and then SUR. DECODE until "PL II Movie" is displayed. This will give you "cinema-like" surround sound from a 2-channel source.

You can also assign this to one of your "Scenes" by following the procedure for scene assignment on page 26 of your manual.

SOURCE: CD/DVD reads no disc after inserting working CD/DVD

More than likely it has dust on the laser eye, it will need to be cleaned

SOURCE: trying to get surround sound speakers to work with TV

They come with 3 x 3.5mm stereo to 2 x RCA phono cables, so are obviously meant for plugging in to the back of a PC with 6ch output.

BTW - they're ****.

I should've known for £29....

SOURCE: Bose multi cd changer wont work, reads "Disc error"

I think there may be a problem with the system (defective parts) - I, too, am having this issue. I am going to contact the BBB - maybe if enough of us complain we will get a recall. To file a complaint:

My radio works but when i put on the cd changer it plays but no sound

Are you using an amplifier? If you are, it sounds like you are using the power antenna remote turn on (usually blue) instead of the amplifier remote turn on (usually blue/white). Leaving tuner mode when using the power antenna remote turn on turns the amplifier off.

Static sound

Try a CD cleaning kit and follow instructions if this fails it is more cost effective to replace the CD changer than have it repaired.

When I insert disc into player its visible that disc is running on radio display, but no sound at all. Dont know where is the problem, any hint? Thank you

Is the sound working fine for the radio? If so, are you using an amplifier? If you are using an amplifier make sure you are using the blue/white wire (amplifier remote turn on) instead of the blue wire (power antenna remote turn on). The blue wire turns off when leaving tuner mode.

Hooking up surround sound

to get the digital you have to have the digital optical line or the coax rca jack digital audio connection from device to stereo reciever to get the dolby digital surround sound to work , otherwise you can only get a virtual surround sound from the reciever( no dolby digital )
