Canot recieve or transfer any bluetooth ringtones on sprint lg rumor
ok i have a sasketel phone lg rumr all im wonderin i where dose the files go when u have recived them??????

Call Sprint and see what they say, but as far as I know, there is not a way, unless you use a micro S/D card to transfer songs from one phone to the next. I have been told by Sprint (not that it's ever the same when you call) that the rumor does not support the data plan that makes it available to transfer music from one phone to another by bluetooth. You may also want to go to some lg rumor offshoot sites that may have a download (although if not authorized by Sprint, they will not cover your phone if it damages it) to fix this problem. Do that last part at your own risk.

that phone does not have the ftp bluetooth profile, the setting it has is an ftp(file transfer protical) for server updates only. its not compatable with sending files from or to the device via bluetooth sorry :(
To pair your phone with another Bluetooth device, perform the following steps:

ur wrong about using a video file. I tried that and gives u no option to do that. on way is to use the voice recorder and assign from there under custom ringtones.
You cannot unblock it. They have SAID, now this is also a rumor which i'm about to talk about, that you can go into the phone, and hack into it and change a SEEM edit inside of it. But ALLTEL can find out about it if something were to ever go wrong, if they really wanted to, and void every warrenty on the phone that they could think of. So essentially, you may not unblock it. Your stuck. All LG's do this at ALLTEL, and US Cellular and Verizon as well, so it's not just Alltel. The only phones that are still able to do so is Blackberry, Motorola, and the Windows Mobile phones i do beleive. Also, if you receive one through a Picture Message, and you save it, Alltel also blocks it as well. Several friends of mine have alltel, and hate their new LG's.

Sprint did this intentionally. It was done in order to prevent trading copy righted material, to gain more money for sprint since you will have to buy their tones and what not. Also this was done to help prevent the spread of viruses. Your highspeed cellphone is more like a macro computer than you may think and they are succeptable to viruses as well. Do I think its trash, YES I DO. We should be able to use our phones as we choose, but this is what you have and why - Viruses and money......
