My vivitar T028 camera wont turn on

Just got it out of box and it wont turn on i put batterys in it and the sim card its bran new

I also have a Vivitar ViviCam t028 and i just changed the batteries and it wont turn on i was just about to empty the memory card but it wont turn on so i can't i don't know what's wrong with it.

SOURCE: my camera just heats up the batteries

This is cause by a bad flash componet inside the camera that has malfuction witch puts a huge DRAW on the battiers this causes the unit not to recieve power to the rest of the unit. I would seriously have a camera shop look at (hate to bring you bad news but it is what it is) if its under warranty seek out that repair.

I suspect you battery has died,this happened to me the other month.
Easily fixed by buying a new battery, got mine off Ebay £7.99

Check and make sure the SD card is in all the way, it should make a clicking sound when it's in all the way. I had this same problem with my Vivicam 8025. Hope this helps!

i'm afraid the biggest card you can use on this camera is 512 mb, which should give you about 150 pics at medium quality.

Switch sim card
Your SD card is for your memory check your battery
this is what you check... turn off your camera Take out you battery charge and replace... Take out your SD card replace it correctly. Remove your lens and replace correctly then turn on camera and walla it works! PS its ok to leave the SD card in the camera. The on and off switch turns on camera with a charged battery ELEMENTRY WATSON.

First of all be sure you are using the correct batteries (NiMH vs the other) some cameras won't work with certain types of batteries. Second make sure you are not using an incompatible memory card. Occasionally it will cause the camera not to function. It could just be that your camera went out. Contact Vivitar if you are still under warrantly.

It wont turn on with brans new batteries
new cameras and devices in general, usually have small plastic or tape on the batteries that you must remove before the first use.

also, sometimes the batteries do not come pre-charged, and require a long charge time before the first use. check with the manual or store, if you are unsure.

try turning it on while plugged in and charging..

this camera is considered very bad with users who have posted online about it. it is notorious as being cheap and breaking easily, you may simply have to return it.

I was taking photos and evertime i took a photo i turned it off,(i was on a plane) and then went to turn it on again, and it opened then lens opener (two black things) and then beeps 2 times and turns...
Hi there please follow the steps and let me know the result.
1. Ensure batteries are fully charged & clean the battery connector point in side the battery compartment.
2. Look carefully between the lens and the camera body for any sand, dirt or any damaged etc.
3. Try turning the camera with the lens facing down and shake to dislodge anything stuck
4. Try removing batteries and memory card, wait 5 minutes and refit the battery only.
5. Now turn on camera( with out card ) and see ,if working then fix the memory card & again turn on the camera. If working then fine . Otherwise format the memory card and fix back in camera again & try. Make sure before format the memory card take a back up all photos in your computer then format. If no luck then reset or restore the camera setting by pressing Menu key for 2 sec .. in not done the press both Menu & self time key for 2 - 4 sec.

My son got a vivitar 8025 and it wont take pictures it keeps telling us the card is protected. What does this mean and how do we fix it?
did you put an sd memory card into it? this camera will not take pics without an sd memory card (it did not come with any memory to hold pics on the camera itself). the memory card needs to be inserted into the slot right next to the battery:)

Battery wont charge
This camera not charged via PC, you can charge the battery only with wall charger(comes with box).When camera is plugged to PC, you can´t use it as a camera, only as a memory card.You can watch your stuff in PC( PC recognise a camera as a flash memory, no more).

So, this is normal..Charge your camera with wall charger(Full charge Red light not flash!, if light flashed camera is charging) Unplug and use as usually!

Use need to use a Lexar or Scandisk make.

I rang them and they told me that, I was using a cheap Tesco card, mine works ok know
