I have the same headphones. I went to Batteries Plus and purchased a similar battery, NUON, NU67, 3.6v 320mAh. The original battery is 3.6v 280mAh. The 320mAh holds the charge longer. You must swap the connector from the old battery to the new battery in order tomake it work. This can be done two ways, carefully removing the connector or cut, splice, solder and insulate the battery leads. Removing the connectors is tricky because the leads lock into place when inserted into the connectors. Good Luck.

I changed my batterys and now it wont let me talk or hear threw the mic

What type of batteries did you use? It's best to use new, fresh from the package alkaline AAA's. You can use NiMH rechargeable batteries, but make sure that they're fully charged up. Some say they come fully charged, but they might not be.

Change the batteries. The light will stay on when the batteries are too low. When that happens, you'll get symptoms like this.

RCA headphones - nicad or alkaline batteries WHP141

BATTERY INSTALLATION AND INFORMATION
Your wireless headphone unit requires two rechargeable AAA batteries.
Rechargeable batteries are uncharged when you purchase them. Before
you can use the wireless headphones, the batteries must be charged for
16 hours. Follow these steps to install and charge the batteries.
Installing the Rechargeable Batteries
Take care to follow these steps to correctly install the batteries.
1. On the right headphone, locate the battery compartment (1).
Use the finger depression on the compartment to turn the battery
compartment cover counterclockwise to remove the cover.
2. Insert two AAA rechargeable batteries, carefully following the
markings inside to ensure the batteries are inserted properly, with
the + and - ends in the correct positions.
3. Replace the battery compartment cover.
Charging the Rechargeable Batteries
To recharge the headset unit, follow the directions below. Note: The
cradle/transmitter on the WHP141 is not a recharging cradle, although
you may place the headset in the cradle during recharging.
Follow these steps to recharge the NiMH rechargeable batteries.
1. Make sure the ON/OFF switch (2), located on the right headphone,
is in the OFF position.
2. Connect the AC/DC main power adapter to the DC IN power
supply socket (11), located on the back of the cradle/transmitter.
3. Plug the adapter into an electrical outlet.
4. Connect the charging cable (10), located on the back of the
cradle/transmitter to the recharging input (3), located on the right
headphone. The headphones can either be placed in the
cradle/transmitter or placed next to the unit. If the headphones are
connected correctly, the charging LED indicator light on the
cradle/transmitter (8) illuminate.

Headphones for tv

Roy, easy way to do that is go to wally mart, K-mart sears etc. and get a set of "rca wireless headphones" they are inexpensive and the headphones have a volume control built into them so you can have it as loud as YOU want, and the wife can set the volume on the tv where she wants, bought a set for my father-in-law and he loves them, (he`s very hard -of -hearing) you can even walk out of the room with them on and still hear the program, buy them for yourself as a christmas present, enjoy, BMW Rider

Sennheiser TR136 Wireless Headphones Nothing Happens

Replace the NiMh batteries. They might be bad. Could happen during power surges as you indicated you had. Let them charge up fully 14-18 hours as the book suggests.
