USB Driver for Windows Vista

If you upgrade your operating system like from windows xp to windows vista, you need to install new hardware driver for your computer like for LAN, webcam, WAN and others because the old driver is only compatible with the old operating system and not with VISTA operating system. Solution would are, download webcam and WAN driver for Windows Vista and install it into your computer. Don't just upgrade your computer because the configuration is not the same with the old operating system. If problem still exist, just upgrade the service pack from 2 to 3. There is available install for upgrading the service pack of each operating system. and surely all your hardwares will function.

Philips PC Camera SIC4750 is only compatible with OS Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows 2000 & Win XP. (Only 32Bit system ie x86)

Unfortunately, the internal hardware of the webcam does not match the requirements of these operating systems. Therefore we cannot provide a software upgrade (driver upgrade) to support Windows Vista or Windows 7. We apologize that we are not able to support you in this matter.

Too bad Philip do not provide the drivers if your are Using Vista or Win 7 or any x64Bit system.

I have the same problem. This is what Tripp Lite told me: "We have tested the existing drivers for the US-4A on both Windows 7 and Mac OS 10.6.2. Neither Windows7 nor Mac OS 10.6.2 functioned with the USB server products (US-4A and U2S-2A) while utilizing current drivers. I suspect that this is due to the fact that both OS' appear to have undertaken a major overhaul over their prior counterparts (XP, Vista, 10.5.X). In order for functionality to exist between the operating systems (in this case Win 7 and Mac OS 10.6.X) new drivers would need to be released. At this point, there is no plan to move forward with drivers to accommodate these operating systems."

I told them I was not impressed and that this lack of support would affect any future purchases of thier products.

At this moment there is no Vista driver for this printer.
You may download the current XP driver from HP to provide printing functionality. Windows Vista printing is very similar to Windows XP and most print drivers supported in XP environment for LaserJet printers may also work in the Windows Vista operating system.

Conexant has worked with Microsoft to ensure that many PCI modems are supported using a generic data/fax driver that is available on the XP distribution CD, therefore in the majority of cases your modem should automatically be detected and the generic driver correctly installed. Run the List Modem application (listmodem_app.zip) found on the Modem Driver Assistance page to find out if your modem is supported in the inbuild driver on WinXP. If the answer to "WinXp Inbuild Support" is yes, then your modem will work after upgrading to WinXP even when you run the compatibility test before upgrading and you get a warning. However the XP distribution CD does not have drivers for Conexant USB modems or modems that interface to the PC using the AC-Link bus. The AC-Link bus is primarily used in notebook PC's and some desktop PC's. In these cases it is necessary to download the correct driver from the manufacturer before upgrading to XP. If you get the message shown below and you have a notebook PC use the links below to obtain XP drivers.

Example XP Error Message: If you do not have one of these PC's it means that the current driver that you are using in your previous operating system is not compatible with Windows XP, however if you have a PCI modem it is very likely that your modem will be supported by the driver available on the distribution CD and will work when you upgrade to Windows XP, and you should proceed with the upgrade. Because of the fact that Microsoft thinks they're so smart and released Windows Vista as their newest piece of ****, this camera will not work with Vista. The drivers for Windows Vista are non-existent. I went to the site for Sony and could only find XP drivers and 98 and 2000. They do not make them for Vista. And of course Vista should have most common drivers preinstalled, yet they don't have this one. I haven't found a way around it yet. I tried to get the drivers for Windows XP and install them. No good! It cannot be used on "this current operating system." Good luck. Hope somebody else finds an answer.

In this case, there's no mystery as to the cause of the problem. You will be unable to use this printer with your operating system because there are no existing print drivers that work with 64 bit Vista. Your printer will work with Windows 98, Windows 2000, and Windows XP, but not with Vista at all.

You have only two options...use a different HP printer that will work with Vista, or get a PC that has one of the supported operating systems on it and connect your current printer to that PC.
