Need Owners Manual for Kitchen Selectives Wine Chiller (1 Bottle)

Have a Kitchen Selectives Wine Chiller for one bottle... No Instuctions or Manual... Not sure if I should put water and/or ice in before I turn on the timer. Just turning on the timer doesn't seem to chill the bottle.

Have not been able to locate the Kitchen Selectives website to search for a PDF of the manual

PS Had to pick "Coffer Maker" from you drop down menu... No Wine Chillers listed....

A box on ebay says: Put bottle inside, add ice to neck of bottle, add water, turn on and set timer for 10-20 minutes. It chills from 77* to 55*or 33* (can't read numbers clearly) in 10 minutes. Can also be used on other drinks and canned drinks. Can be used as an ice bucket as well to keep the opened bottle chilled.
I just bought one at Goodwill for $4 today and was looking for the instructions as well. Hope this helps!

I guess you would have tried using just water by now. I would think that would be the right thing to do but to which it and if the water freezes you will a anti-freeze solution or it willl cause massive damage.

How can i adjust the temperature of my 24 bottle dual zone wine refrigerator? I want to increase the internal temperature.

Brand? Model?
There should be a display (digital) at top of chiller or at least one or two dials at the rear of chiller cabin near the sides. You should be able to set each area by adjusting dial(s). Though there are some units that have only one dial as with the Sears brand that will presume you load the wine bottles at the top or bottom of box.

Have gnats in my kitchen and bathroom. I have cleaned with bleach and vinegar. wall cabinet floors and drains and they keep coming back. what else can I do?

Get a bottle of wine. Drink 3/4 of it (you deserve it).

Leave the rest in the bottle and leave the bottle out on your kitchen counter. The gnats will be attracted to the wine and will get stuck in the bottle.

Is there such thing as a single bottle wine cooler?

Of course! There is a wide variety of single cooling systems for wine bottles. We don't drink a lot of wine, but when we have guests over I like to have the wine chilled properly. I prefer the stainless steel coolers, since the look more sleek and stylish.

We have a Wolfgang Puck Bistro Collection (electric) Wine Chiller. We have lost the instructions and don't know if we should add ice or water or what. Can you help?

I have a copy of the manual.
Put the bottle in first, add "2 trays of ice cubes," (does anyone still use trays?), then fill cooler to the neck of the bottle with cold water. Turn on.

If you want the full manual, let me know, and I can scan it in.

Thermal coupling in wine chiller

No, I would not recommend putting water into the chill chamber since if there is a "gap" hole in this compartment, the water could get inside the unit's electronics etc.. which could at the very least short the unit and at worst electrocute you as you take the bottle out/touch the unit. That's the problem with this or any other Peltier/thermoelelectric type of chiller. They are only good for maintaining an ALREADY cold bottle's temperature, not for chilling it rapidly. There is no good or inexpensive way to get better chilling from these types of units. It's the law of themodynamics and heat transfer. Water is the best/safest/most inexpensive medium to use, not chilled air or even super cold air. Cold air or even super cold air just does not match the chilling potential of a liquid like water. The reason why 50F air is no problem, for you to be out in for hours, but 50F water you'll get hypothermia in 20-30 mins.

The best unit for chilling a warm wine bottle is the cooper cooler. Go to www.coopercooler.com. It uses ice and water and sprays the ice cold water over the bottle while spinning it to chill it quickly. This unit is great since it can also chill single serve drinks like beer/soda etc so is more versatile than the other chillers. Cheapest is about $59 which is much less than the waring at ~$100
