My laptop caps lock and num lock lights on the keyboard do not turn on. I have to toggle back and forth to know if it is activated or not. I did do an update these past few days. Please advise how I can correct this. It is better to see the light as an indicator if it is active or not.
SOURCE: startup problem
that wouldn't mean the processor is off, it means there is a problem with the motherboard. I don't know the exact problem with the motherboard. but it could be something wrong with the processor too. but I suggest you take your PC to like Circuit city, best buy, or your local computer shop to have them take a look at.
SOURCE: laptop keyboard is not working correctly
It does sound like your computer is confused as to what type of keyboard it has. You can try updating the BIOS on the laptop - based on the suggestion in this HP help document:

Let me know if this helps or not.
SOURCE: My Logitech EX110 wireless keyboard has no light indicator
Your EX 110 receiver has 3 indicator lights (LEDs) that display the status of the Caps lock, Function key, and the Num lock during normal operating mode. These lights will also flash when the connect button on the receiver is pressed.
LED A: Indicates that the Caps Lock (Capital lock) key is on when lit.
LED F: Indicates that the F keys are in Standard F Keys Mode when lit and in Enhanced F Keys Mode when the LED is off.
LED 1: Indicates when the Num Lock (Number lock) key is on. This function allows the number pad to produce only numbers
SOURCE: Caps lock and num lock keyboard lights do not come
If the "Caps Lock" and "Num Lock" keyboard lights do not come on, then press "Scrol Lock" bottom. If the light still not glow then you need to change the key board.
SOURCE: num lock activated and can't turn it off
One of your Function keys (F11, F12, etc., usually F11) will also have the NumLock function on them. So when you hold Fn and press F11, it will toggle the Number Lock. Try holding Fn and press F11, this should turn it off (and back on should you ever want to use it again). Your keyboard should be labeled with the various functions keys have when Fn is pressed, you may have to look for the one that reads NumLk.
