You can reset to factory default by pushing and holding the RESET button for 30 seconds or so, release, that will restore the device to the factory default settings. Connect and reconfigure the SSID and Security Code. You may want to write down the Password for future use, just a thought. two options:one is to run the cd that came with the router and follow the wizard and configure the network..other is to log into the router by typing 192.168.1.1. or 192.168.1.1. in the browser or if any IP address mentioned on the body of the router please use that..enter the login and password..usally admin and admin by default..go to the wireless security and set it up..u can also change the network name etc..there will be a provision to backup the settings too..please don't settings that u don't know about as they can misconfigure your network..hope it helps!

I was about to join in the throwing out the window, when it hit me to disconnect everything but the power supply including the machine that you use to access the admin. Hold the reset, wait a few moments then connect only the admin system, I did it with a network cable. Enter new settings and all phones/laptops etc connect fine now. Hope this helps.

Your friend is able to go online using the same wireless network. that means the wireless network is working properly and there might be a problem with your computer .
You said that you can connect to the wireless network but you can not go online.
Check the IP address and the default gateway of the computer.
Try to ping the router and DNS server and check what happens.
Make sure that there is no static IP address on the computer.
