it might have to be uninstalled You should always remove and uninstall programs from your PC that you are not using. You run the risk of running out of space on your computer if you add too many programs without uninstalling some. It is a relatively easy process, but you should be sure you are not removing a program that is necessary to the operation of your computer. Click "Start" and select "Programs." Click "Control Panel" and "Programs" and "Programs and Features." Browse the list of programs on your computer and select one that you want to remove. Click "Uninstall." You may be prompted for permission from the administrator to remove the program. Enter the administrator password or confirmation if necessary. Check the properties of the program if it is not listed in "Programs." You can do this by right-clicking on the program desktop icon and selecting "Properties." Check to see if the program is compatible with the version of Windows that you are using. Click "Start" and "Run," to manually remove the programs if the uninstall option does not completely uninstall the program. Type "Regedt32" in the box and click "OK." Start > Control Panel > Add Remove programs (or) Start -> Control Panel > Programs > uninstall a program Click on the Funmoods Toolbar and click remove
Reset your Internet Explorer Settings: In Internet explorer > Tools > Internet Options General Tab > Under Home Page > Click Use Default General Tab > Under Search > Settings > Select funmoods > Click remove
This guy did a nice little write up on removing "Fun Moods", if you need more information:
To remove funmoods from your computer, go to the Control Panel, then click on Programs and Features. Find funmoods Toolbar, click on it to reveal options, and then click Remove. It may be under another name. If that doesn't work, download Revo (the free version)http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html and see if that helps find and uninstall it any easier.
The problem is that most tools do not detect funmoods as there are several opinions regarding clasification of Funmoods. Lately, some vendors tried to add new detection techniques, so we would recommend using Spyhunter to get rid of funmoods.. Another good product to remove funmoods is MalwareBytes anti-malware.
Close all browsers and windows completely. Start menu >>> Control Panel >>>Programs and Features >>> find and remove "Funmoods Web Search". If that doesn't do the job, try this:

If THAT doesn't work, I can only blame your anti-virus protection at this point, haha. The recommendation I get from tech-savvy computer specialists all the time is to stick with Microsoft Security Essentials, 1) because it's free, 2) because it actually does an amazing job at cleaning junk out of your PC. McAfee and Norton Antivirus? LOL. Used to have both and they sucked. Anyway, hope this works out :)
1- Open your IE browser, click Tools, then select Internet Options. Click Restore to Default on General Tab.

What likely happened is that you installed a program that asked you if you wanted to install Funmoods with it already checked. A lot of internet apps pull that ****. What you need to do is the following
Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features, or Add/Remove Programs on older versions of Windows.
Find Funmoods and uninstall it.
In Chrome, click the wrench on the upper right hand side of the page and choose Settings.
You should be on the Basics page. Where it says Search, click the "Manage search engines" button.
You will see that Funmoods is the default. Hover over another search engine until you see "Make Default". Click it.
Hover over Funmoods. You will see an x on the right side. Click it in order to delete it.
I can still see funmood search behind my browser google chrome. I want to completely erase it
