Hi HRU? Sir pls tell me how I can copy my Movies from Cam Coder of Sony DCR-HC28E in my pc although I have connect via usb cable to my computer but no any reply i foud. So pls guide me how I can?

This is the step-by-step for downloading from your camera as found on Sony's tutorial page:

  1. Turn on the computer.
  2. On the computer, install the USB driver for the digital camcorder. Note: Only the USB driver included on the supplied CDROM will properly enable the digital camcorder for USB streaming. Alternatively, you can download the USB driver here.
  3. Turn on the digital camcorder to the VTR, VCR or PLAYBACK mode.
  4. Turn on the USB streaming feature of the digital camcorder.
  5. Connect the USB cable to the digital camcorder.
  6. Connect the other end of the USB cable to the computer.
  7. Cue the video to the beginning of the video footage to be transferred.
  8. Start the video capture software on the computer.
  9. Begin playing the recorded video in the camcorder.
  10. Begin importing the recorded video with the capture software.

I have DCR-HC 36E and as the PMB given as an alternative for Windows 7 comes with an ilink connection which is not there i n my computer. is there any USB driver for this camcorder.

Hi,

This solution is only applicable for the selected camcorder models. You can follow the steps mentioned below for the DCRHC36 models.

  • Turn on the computer.
  • On the computer, install the USB driver from the CD-ROM supplied with the camcorder.

Only the USB driver included on the supplied CD-ROM will properly enable the camcorder for USB streaming. The USB Streaming Driver can only be installed from the supplied Software CD.

  • Turn the camcorder on to the PLAY/EDIT mode.
  • Turn on the USB streaming feature in the camcorder menu. P-MENUPICT.APPLI.MenuUSB SELECTSTREAM
  • Connect the USB cable to the camcorder.
  • Connect the other end of the USB cable to the computer.
  • Cue the video to the beginning of the video footage to be transferred.
  • Start the video capture software on the computer. You can try Software like Windows Movie Maker

o NOTE: The computer must have compatible video capture software to complete this procedure. Many video editing software applications include a capture function. If you have video editing software, you might not need a separate video capture application.

  • Begin playing the recorded video in the camcorder.
  • Begin importing the recorded video with the capture software.

Good Luck

Tv-tunner cannot render audio capture stream

What cable connections are you using? HDMI has to be enabled on you motherboard (high def. audio), if its S-Vidio you must run a seperate and dedicated audio cable from headphone jack to TV.
My first gues would be to right click your audio icon on your desktop toolbar and check your playback and recording settings, make sure the tuner card is the source, hope this helps!

Cannot render audio capture stream

On the "Audio Settings" in the Life View software, at the "Audio Input Source" on the drop down arrow, select "None". This settings will use the internal PCI Bus for listening and recording TV. The audio loop back cable in this case is not needed anymore.

Windows Movie Maker

A lot of times Dazzle provides a calibration program for video and sound. See if you can run that.

There usually is a seperate audio capture control. If you go to your sound mixer and check the recording settings, is the audio capture from the Dazzle selected?
