I see. Well, you can see I got into Chris's lap on the cut and paste. But, I know how these threads work. The poor owner only needs to clear the board and see if its the RAM or as you say a buffer fubar, which is how I saw it. This Chris character has had a history of putting users in executable commands that are like time bombs, rather than doing a proper work around. So I just let him have it since his **** was ****. Anyone worth his salt would have layed into me big time by calling his post BS. He didn't bite. That speaks volumes.

You mean he's back but with a new name?

  • Anonymous Feb 08, 2009

Since we cannot create and "new" expert to expert communications because as Lauren put it 'We' were choosing categories that skewed their database results". I believe we can use old questions and solutions and just follow up on them with a new comments.

This comment and vote will see if this works. From what I've read of your comments lately it seemed like you had a stressful week or two with your sister in court. Then, you state you're planning on traveling the world. Great! You have my envy. Does this mean you have effectually or actually won your court case? I mean, where else would you have the spirit and funding to do such a lifelong goal?

With all the contacts we make on Fixya, actually traveling and being able to stay with a local resident will make for a wonderful experience. When I traveled in journalism I always tried to stay at the homes of my contacts and really get a feel for the area that way. It was wonderful as an experience.

Let's see if this method of communication will work so we can actually have, outside the lounge, communications.

Oh, and I say stay with Darklord1 in Trinidad, however from what he posted, looks like he really confronted the powers that be over the 'free energy' movement due to market dominance of some power company and the political machine that supports them. With Trinidad as close to Venezuela as it is, it may be leaning very close to a Cuban like socialistic state also.

Looking forward to hearing about how your court case has gone lately. I've been off the boards a bunch as my doctors are trying to figure out what in the world is causing my blood chemistry to be so out of whack. I tell you, there have been more than a few days I wish I could have loaded a pipe with some hash and opium and just check out for a few hours.

By the time this little battle with your sister is over you could peddle the screen story around Hollywood and at least the option would be purchased enough times to fund a comfortable life for awhile traveling. Its classic courtroom drama with backstory and side plots, the whole works. You ought to consider giving it a go at least.

Gingko? Well I agree of course. I tried to draw him out and then Gymowner comes out in a quasi defense. But, I leave him to his judges robes while he holds court over FixYa. He really reminds me of a subversive expert who ended up banned way before your time and he let it out he is in Florida and that nailed it. I emailed Laruen as he is before her time, but Ekse and I as well as others have a clue. He previously ended up banned because of silly lawsuits, like Patrick started over the 1099 issue and was just seeking a quick cash settlement to *******. That stuff doesn't fly with Israeli's.

Well, sounds like your new attorney likes a good figtht and knows the playing field well enough to have some fun winning your case. There alwasy has to be that incentive, the intrigue of it all.

Take care and keep your head low.

    Sheeze.

Why the VA? You just need a time out?

  • Anonymous Feb 14, 2009

    Steve,

Seems like a little peace and quiet would do you a some good as you pointed out. You have been through hell with this and I didn't know you ended up in jail for 10 days? Christ man, this is your sister doing all this to you?

A lot of people live with the philosophy that God will only give you what you can handle. I've had my doubts several times in life. I prefer the Buddhist approach to karma in life as you know. Responding to anger with more anger uses up way to much precious energy. I could use a good chanting group right now myself.

The La Jolla VA is a nice spot to get a break. But, if you can pull it off and if you choose to ask, the West Los Angeles VA has a Domiciliary in the Brentwood section on 640 acres of green space a few miles from the Santa Monica beach. I've stayed there while in long term care and although its structured, it is a sweet spot, while the docs get you healed. Usually, you ask a Social Worker to get you placed there and then you come up with the justification strategy later when they agree to try and get you in. Getting is is pretty easy, you go before a committee and explain why you need access to the resouces there. All the resouces.

Mostly, era vets get a high priority. There is a lot of freedom there too. You just have to be in for a head count at midnight or ask for an overnight pass which is easy to get. Don't drink or smoke pot and follow the rules. I've made some really life long friends there when I've needed to use this resouce. You may want to give it some consideration as it is a great place to regroup. They have parking for peoples cars and you can just come and go as you need to so long as people know what you're doing and why.

Have you ever been in a VA Domiciliary before? You may already know this.

Otherwise, right is right and you have that on your side. The more you fight the good fight the more options will come your way to prevail.

I've been trying to think of an advocacy group you could plug into, especially on the Elder Abuse thing. I know there is a strong movement in existence that fights these issues. Elder abuse is equal to child abuse in my mind. I hope those doors open for you.

Meanwhile, I always trusted God to give me what I needed when I needed it.

BTW, nearby the WLA VA DOM is the Santa Monica Self Actualization Center just south of Malibu at the foot of the Santa Monica Mountains. I used to go there a lot and try to get a seat on Sundays. And the NSA has a huge facility in Santa Monica. I know you know all this already, I'm just bringing it up to validate your thinking if you have considered those resources. I like the Self Actualization Center down by Oceanside, I just can't remember the name of the town its in its been so long. Many many times I spoke with the Monks there about taking a sabatical with them. They always have a way of helping you get centered.

Stay in touch. I'm still going through my own problems while the doctors figure out what the hell is going wrong with my own blood work. I don't have cancer and I don't have diabetes I just follow the doctors instructions and do what I'm told and hopefully they'll get this figured out so I can work at the pace I'm used to. Otherwise, I'm going to have to seek VA Medical Retirement and that's no fun.

Let me know how it goes this week and try to enjoy the break in the weather. We here are not getting slammed but I saw what was rolling through your area. Catch a few rays.

The last Lexmark I saw with that "flushing buffer" message only required waiting for the message to clear. Sending commands to it will delay that. The thread was crowded and getting volatile so I don't think another voice would be helpful to the client. Steve also I have two computers I have to have ready by late morning

That was my experience with rakesh the other night. When I first saw his DCSE avatar I was happy to see a certified Dell tech/engineer and the first question that I asked was which Foundations he had completed which indicates what models/years are covered. His first response was pointing me to a bs solution by that dilip.. character which I said was evasive and repeated my question. He then said it was peronal, referred me a help desk site that had him listed as participant, said it was personal info ad nauseum.

Still when I told him it was not too late to redeem himself he immediately changed his avatar, started to act as though his mind was aligning to our group conscience, admitted that he never even enrolled in the DCSE track but has since vanished. Steve

I saw his changed avatar come back the next day still professing to be an "expert in all laptops" but Lauren has him flagged -not for use of the fraudulent avatar but quality of solutions. She's a godsend for us in that she really tries to get people back on track vice sanctions as some (one) accuses her.

My tolerance for blatant dishonesty and reckless irresponsiblity of service is right around zero. Probably due to the zero-tolerance environments I grew up with so I am glad that we have Lauren lest I trash some snot-nosed kid more than really necessary here. All of our roles are necessary in the Grand Scheme I believe :) Steve

Lauren has issues with her associates and bosses. My posts of late do reflect my issues with mediocrity at every level -the last three hearings were taken off calendar and the last merely stated "mistaken" on the probate examiner notes. I am finally represented by an attorney of ethical merit -he is a Los Angeles attorney and CEO of a financial insitution. My sister's attorney shares an office with the President of the North County Bar Association and she is the reason my sister circumvented legality here.

The preciding judge, the honorable Richard Cline forced my sister to post double the required surety bond to protect my interests. That means he knows.

My new attorney is appalled at the ground my sister gained illegally and as part of the retainer agreement has included charging her with violation of the no contest clause that is part of the will my Mom made testamentary. The Oceanside Police are complicit in accomodating my sister's fraud despite my being a resident here and frankly, best friend of my late Mom, due to thinking with their other brain -my sister is good-looking. Lawsuits will spring like daisies.

All was based on bs initiated by my sister but is a sign of the times -ONE case of elder abuse in all of San Diego County for two years!

I zero in on ginko because he is unrepentent and frankly a fraud. marked is the quickdraw expert in Live Chat. He kept me and amusedgeek busy for an hour in the lounge helping him with his LAN and was drawn out last night.

There is a new alternative to FixYa in the works that is USA-based and will work. ginko's pathetic existence is not the reason but the symptom that FixYa has chosen to ignore. An offense to good sense.

As to my world travel, lol, I have been invited to way more than I would be able to do in this life but will try my best.

An ex parte hearing out of the blue after I confided to a neighbor that I may check into the La Jolla VA for a few days. A former MacIntosh software project engineer who is a neighbor and a homeowner association board member just emailed me that the real estate agent that my sister hired, also a neighbor, is not a qualified appraiser and even if so would be a conflict of interests in her court declarations as to the urgency of the sale (ex parte hearings require urgency as a factor) and the fire sale price. They are looking to get a default judgement as I have blocked the sale twice before in court -I have the title! Snakes! The Mac engineer said that he was compelled to offer his advice based on a matter of ethics! Lo and behold a call from the past.

Interesting to see how the judge views this tomorrow. Today will be scouring the huge probate file for blatant perjury.

  • Anonymous Feb 14, 2009

The VA was for my diabetes being out of control. Stress just skyrockets my blood sugar level and more insulin will bring it down but it gets like a yo-yo. The stress is rage-based when I know 100% the diabolical, unethical tactics the opposing lawyer is using even though it is a sign of desperation that means they know they are losing ground. I still had to show up to object.

The judge blocked the sale of the house and told my sister's lawyer that he was "loathe to dignify the urgency" of the ex parte hearing and reprimanded him for wasting time and money! This was the first hearing before a new probate judge so it was an auspicious beginning for my case. Had I not appeared and without my objection the petition would have just automatically rolled along.

The 20th is the calendared hearing so it is possibly a plus for me that they tried this gamble should the judge remember which I feel confident he will since it is only days away. I should have no problem gaining administration over the estate where I can force accountability and pursue issues that have been on the back-burner for a long time like the financial abuse of an elder and possibly the wrongful death of my Mom orchestrated intentionally or negligently by the Hospice, primary care doctor and nursing facility. Perjury is already on record by my sister with the court.

The law enforcement agencies refused to act so that I could get the DA involved with investigating those issues so it has been all on me to handle the barrage of legal hocus pocus. Where I was off balance I got evicted from my own home and even thrown in the slammer for 10 days before full exoneration. A real horror epic for which one North County Times reporter asked me to keep records for a possible story.

The amazing thing is the difficulty in finding a personal injury attorney to go after the deep pockets of malpractice insurance. I also have literally lived by the grace of God in maintaining a hotel room, basic survival and my very sanity without a regular income.

So yes. A "time out" is apropos for what I need but impossible until I gain control of the estate. My birthday is the 21st so maybe that will be my gift :)
