Polaroid i843 flash problem

I purchased a Polaroid i843 a month ago to replace my broken digital camera and it is great except the flash only works about half the time. What could possibly be causing this and is there any way to fix the problem? I've tried changing the batteries, but that doesn't help and I can't think of anything else. HELP!

I noticed that mine did the same thing and "cheaper" batteries was the cause of it, I had bought some Energizer and Duracell and it was fine. I bought some rechargable batteries and never had the problem again

Mine started to crack in half the first week I had it. I put two layers of duck-tape on it, and it's held for over a year.

I have the same camera and the same problem, if you use lithium batteries it keeps the charge longer because regular batteries aren't strong enough. Hope that helps you! :)

Looking for film for sun 660 Polaroid instant camera

Polaroid announced several months ago that they would discontinue manufacturing instant film. This is because of their move to digital cameras. If you really are in need of this film, some may be available from peers on EBay, but Polaroid itself no longer manufactures it.

POLAROID SOS

The battery in the film pack may be dead, or the camera is broken. Take the film pack out and replace it. If the camera does not reset then the camera is gone.

My camera did not flash properly

All of these little point and shoot cameras work the same way.
Go to the menus reset all to default.
check the camera again...see what happens.
If it does not work right yet.... repair is probably needed. However the cost of repair is maybe more than it is worth.
Make sure the battery or batteries are up and new.
You may be able to sell on a site such as Ebay for parts or repair, if you cannot fix it.
To repair is complicated, and takes a good amount of time.
May be loose cable or cables inside the camera or some part is dead or broken.

I have a Polaroid t1031 Digital camera that I've only had since last Christmas. It has never been dropped or mishandled. However, the flash no longer works on it? The flash doesn't seem to be physically...

Sometimes the flash will be disabled when the battery is low in order to save power. Charge the battery fully and start up the camera.

At the top of the display, second from the left, you should see a symbol that contains a lightning bolt. This indicates the flash setting. Press the right side of the circular button until the symbol matches the picture on that button (just the bolt, no eye or A or anything). Now the flash is set to forced on. Try taking a picture.

If the flash still is not going off, something is broken. Call Polaroid. They may replace it if you have a receipt (as long as it's not refurbished or over a year old).

Lens is broken

My daughter just had this problem with her camera. The camera was off with the lens barrel extended. When I looked at it closely, I noticed that the inner part of the lens barrel was at a slight angle to the camera. I pushed firmly on the low side of the inner part of the barrel, and it popped the rest of the way out. Camera works fine now. Good luck!

Posibley Broken LCD?

Use the viewfinder to take pictures on vacation, then have your camera looked at in a camera shop or repair shop to assess the damage. Might be cheaper to just get a new camera sometimes with labour costs and parts costs these days, but doesn't hurt to get it looked at for free!
