Anniversary train clock; clock does not work

I need a motor to run the clock for a Lionel anniversary clock. The second hand only jumps in place and does not go around the clock face. The motor measures approx. 2-1/4" long, approx. 1-1/2" tall, and 1/2" wide. The writing on the motor shows HD 1688 Sheng Bang No (0) jewels unadjusted. The back left side has a black turning stick and further left of that is the on/off switch. The front has a large white turning stick and wire hookups. Is it possible to get this piece?

Hi! I'm having the same problem with my lionel train clock. Everything works except there's a click to start the train but nothing happens. I'm presuming that the motor isn't kicking in. If you find a fix for this would you mind contacting me so I can repair the clock? I'll be glad to do the same if you furnish your email address. Mine is [email protected]. Thanks!

My Lionel clock is having the same problem. The train won't go around the clock and it appears to be the motor. I'd also like to know where to locate a new motor for it. Thanks

My Lionel centennial clock sounds, but the train itself doesn't move nor mechanism that runs around the clock face move or make sound. Looks like all the wires are intact. Also I have used new batteries.

It's not the motor it's the unit in the middel that works the clock it self. I have the same problem. When the clock passes the hour it is supose to send a signal to start the motor. There are two tiny pices metal that are supose to contact each other on the hour and they break off easy.

You have to replace the clock unit and reconect the two black wires.

Try by passing it. The two black wires that come from the clock unit. Cut them and touch them together. Make sure the light sencer on the front is not covered.

Good Luck

Blinking green light

Check to make certain that the batteries in the remote are good. Make sure that when using the remote, you orient the antenna in an upright position and are within 6 to 8 feet of the locomotive.
If the train has been running successfully and the problem has only just started, clean your wheels and the pick up roller on the locomotive removing any fluff etc. then clean the track. If the loco is still not working contact the Lionel Service Department on
586 949 4100 or use their website contact service. Contact Lionel Trains

Is lionel 40 watt transformer from toy train enough power to run a dual motor larger train engine it just lites up and sputters

It would depend on what engine you're trying to run. The 40 watt transformer's circuit breaker will trip off if you put too large of an electrical load on it. If the engine light stays on while it sputters, the track or the engine's motor and electrical pick-ups may need cleaning. Older engines that haven't been run for a while can get stiff. Your engine may need some lubrication.

On my Lionel Holiday Tradition Express the handheld remote works yet with the train will not respond. All connections have been cleaned and that is not the problem. I did notice that the wheels on the...

the train does not run in daylight.....when one places the remote over the engine protecting the senor from sun the engine will start 10seconds after the sounds...I was very disappointed that it would not run in daylight. I'm looking for a method to rewire the system to work in daylight....maybe bypassing the control card.
