How many ounces in a gallon

Guess you are asking this because you need to mix your 2-cycle engine oil with gasoline. One gallon = 128 fluid ounces if you are in the US. In the UK, 1 UK gallon = 160 UK ounces.
I totally plagiarized this information from numbers.com.
Not plagiarized: you want to use the correct mixture for your blower to get it to start easily. Your blower probably uses a mixture of either 50:1 or 40:1. I use a product called ProMix Premium that allows me to squeeze the bottle to measure out the correct amount of oil into a gallon of gas. I use two different gallon sized gas containers, one with a 50:1 mixture and the other with a 40:1 mixture. Between the two mixtures, all of my machines will start and run well according to their oil mixture requirements. Usually the machine will have a label on it to tell you the correct mixture, if not, check the owner's manual or instructions.

How much oil to I add to the gas before putting it in my craftsman convertible?

Older units use a 40:1 mix while very new units use a 50:1 mix. I don''t know the age or model you have. Using 40:1 will NOT hurt a 50:1 machine. Here is a mix chart. Just 1/2 the stated ratios for a 1/2 gallon premix. 40:1 is 3.2 ounces/gallon of gas. Use half of that to make a half-gallon.

Fuel mixture Z830sd Homelite trimmer

Since my research shows this to be an older unit, I recommend a 40:1 mix. That is 3.2 ounces of 2 stroke oil / gallon of gas, or 1.6 ounces of oil in half-a-gallon of gas. Here is a mixture chart.

How much oil do I use per 1gallon of gas for a Husqvarna 223L weed eater?

for a 40/1 mixture use 3 ounces of oil ( 2 stroke) to a gallon of gas for a 50/1 ( which is what I recommend ) its 2.5 ounces to each gallon of gas, if you find that the machine is smoking a little too much,, back up on the oil just a hair,, but I don't think you'll need to

Need to know fuel mix for mcCulloch gladiator 550 petrol hedge trimmer

I don't know the age of this machine, but more and more of the newer units are using a 50:1 mix to satisfy the newest EPA emissions regulations. I suggest using a synthetic or synthetic blend of 2 stroke oil. ....the big box stores sell the oil...Echo one of the best. I would use synthetic and mix it 40:1. Here is a fuel mix chart to show you how many ounces of oil in a gallon of gas that is. If you make a 1/2 gallon batch of fuel mix, just use half of the listed oil amount for the mix.

40:1 is 3.2 ounces of oil in a gallon of gas...or 1.6 ounces of oil in a half-gallon of gas

Fuel mix wrong, won't fire smokes once in a while

40:1 =40 parts of gas to 1 part oil. If you run 1/4 oz oil to 4 gallons of gas, you will fry a two cycle. That's like running straight gas.
