Owners manual and power cord

it should be marked in two places, first on the back of the power supply and then next to the power jack itself.

According to the owners manual the center pin is negative. This is somewhere after page 10,11 or 12 in the manual...

Go to a radio shack or a place like it, you can buy a charger with universal plugs that will fit in your charger, the other end will plug in your wall outlet.

• For the Radio Shack TRC-447 this is just a standard 3 PIN DC cord. Many CB's use the same cord and they are interchangeable. Some Cobra, Uniden, Radio Shack use the same cord. Texxcomm is a great place to get parts from.

• I recommend an inline fuse for the power and ground side of the power cord. Of course you will want to consider the gauge based on the amps your CB draws. A nicely tuned CB should need no more than a 4 Amp fuse and 12 gauge wire to keep the unit from starving. If they are standard connections , you will find all you need in any Radio Shack or similar shop .
If they are of a specific type , you will need to find a recognized Benwin retailer . You can find one by Googleling Benwin .

Black and Decker's website has downloadable OEM manual which gives part numbers to replace power adapter, also sold at Radio Shacks or RV places like Boat and RV which can be Googled. Best Buy also sells AC/DC relacement multi voltage universal adapters which are about $12.00 - $20.00. Hope this helps ! Matthew

i did the same thing. replacement at radio shack.

According to the owners manual for this unit the cord cannot be replaced. They instruct the user to call Motorola at 800-353-2729. Most likely they will offer you a new charger. If not, get the part number from them and either google it, or repost it here on FixYa and I will respond with pricing/availability information.
