SOURCE: 42 inch LG Plasma TV - Lost picture

Our LG 50" plasma tv screen went black after a popping noise but still had sound, after great diliberations decided to take the back off and have a peek!
We unplugged the tv and tested the fuses (there were three we could see) one had blown, the one on the left as you look at the back of the tv it also has one above it. We wrote the code/seriel number down and took the fuse to the electrical wholesalers Maplin and bought a pack of 10 fuses for £1.29 replaced the fuse in the tv and everything now fine!!!!!!
Hope this might be of use to anyone whose lost the picture after a loud popping/snacking noise but still has sound.

This is almost certainly the device that sends electricity to the the plasma in the panel after failing. Bring to your local repair shop and expect to pay 300-400 parts and 100-200 labour.

Cheers,
Stephen

I have a Philips TV it got hit in front and i have no picture, i can hear the voice, but no picture.

Unfortunately there's no solution other than buying a new TV. Theoretically the panel could be replaced but you can't find that part easily, if at all. I'm sorry for your loss, but you should be extra careful with large screen TVs.

Samsung plasma 42 inchs with sound no picture

Most likely your Y Sustain panel has gone bad. I would have a qualified service center evaluate it to be sure.

Samsung Plasma 42" TV - 2006

Hi, this is quite a common problem for plasma screens and LCD screens. The fluroscent backlight is more than likely faulty and would need replacing. The best thing to do is to take it to a service centre because there are no user servicable parts inside the plasma.

I have suddenly lost the picture on T.V. but still hear audio of program...

sounds like your input board went out. I had the same problem on the ILO version of this panel. Got a replacement part off of Ebay. Search for Ilo plasma on ebay and it will come up
