Electronic Display The display on our Jenn-Air Range (SVE47600B) has dimmed to where we cannot read the display. Occassionally we can just barely read it but mostlt not.

Have the identical problem, but do not bake or use the self clean often.

Jenn-air sve47600B. When I baked in the oven at hi temp (450F) it starts to beep and in the display panel an "FC" is displayed. This probably stands for fan control. I had it in the convect bake on too. I tried to just restet the main breaker (220VAC panel) but it just started to beep again. When the stove cooled to room temp all was well again. My guess is that there is a lack of internal insulation and something is getting too hot in there. Is there a heat path that is warming something up? are there any service bullitins on this issue? I'm affraid to bake now till I find out.

    Thanks Joe.

Jenn-Air SVD48600-the red electronic display becomes unreadable within minutes of setting the temp. Must listen for the beep to know when correct temp is reached as I cannot see the numbers. Clock display (blue) remains bright.

I concede that replacement is the only solution. I have the new part. How do I get into the front panel to replace the electronic display. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

This is a common problem with Jenn-Air and Maytag that I have found. There is no way to brighten the display and usually requires the replacement of the Electronic Oven Control (EOC) board. I think this may have something to do with the placement of the board and possibly being damaged by heat from the oven over a period of time. Do you do a lot of baking? Do you use the self-clean mode for your oven a lot? These seem to be contributors to these boards failing like they do. I know of one person who has replaced the EOC 6 times on the same stove. I don't know if this is the advice you were looking for, but I hope it helps you.

I have a Jenn-Air double wall oven with a very dim display light. Replaced c3 capacitor 68uf 35w - with a 100uf 50w cost $1.60 closes size available at Radio Shack and works good as new. Requires soldering onto the circuit board. I price a replacement part for $276.00.

Jenn-Air model #sve47600b. Today put new display control panel in. Didn't fix the problem. The display now works, but the oven light and fan will not stop running. Also the touchpad doesn't work. If it...

Make sure that you properly plugged in the keypad cable. There is the wide connector that brings all the keypad touches up to the display board, and there is the small 4-black wire connector that brings power to the control board.

For future reference, we repair electronic control boards at www.fixyourboard.com, maybe we can help you in the future.

Display panel

Dim display indicates a "failing" electronic oven control. It will continue to get dimmer and dimmer until it fails completely. You need to replace the "clock" (sometimes called the ERC <---Electronic Oven Control)

This is a tricky repair. Be sure you have the power off (at the breaker box) before attempting this.

Further inspection found that the ribbon got damaged during the re-instalation of the clock board. A new front control board had to be ordered and installed.
