Need to clean hp photosmart 7350 cartridge head

Hello,

I have been trying to clean the hp 7350 cartridge printer head using the usual routine, right click on printer icon, preferences, services, clean in vain. A message comes up saying that in order to clean the cartridge it should take a minute and a sheet of paper. I hit clean and nothing happens...Calibrating the device seems to work OK...

Any suggestions?

many thanks,

m

You can try manual cleaning :

# Hold the cartridge upside down, with the bar-code label facing you and take a damp paper towel.
# Use the towel to wipe the printhead of the cartridge on the bottom (where the ink comes out). Wipe the printhead horizontally in one direction only (left to right).
# Continue doing this until it looks clean.
# Then dab the cartridge on the towel to make sure the ink is flowing.
# Next, look inside the printer and locate the carrier that holds ink cartridges. Caution: Make sure the cartridges are not installed at this point.

1. Look for a shiny piece of metal underneath the contacts at the back of the carrier.
2. Take a damp cotton swab (use water only!) and wipe along the bottom of the shiny metal piece. Note: You may need more than one swab.

# Reinstall the cartridges, making sure you snap them correctly into the printer.

Blocked cartridge on my c3150 hp printer

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out and blocking the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

Ink cartridge leaked inside HP photosmart 7350. How do I clean up the mess. I tried cleaning w/Q-Tip and alcohol but there's a lot of ink there. I probably have to clean it all before installing a...

Lots of Q-tips! I'd also use some small pieces of cotton cloth--be careful it doesn't leave strands of cloth in the bottom of the printer. I've had this happen and I just stuck with it until it got reasonably clean.
Oh--and warm water will work just fine. Most of the ink is water-soluble

Hp photosmart 7350-cannor print from emails or any

Your printhead is either clogged or not working. There should be a self cleaning program built in to the printer. Run this 4 or 5 times. If the unit still doesn't print you can either clean it yourself with Q-tips and isopropyl alcohol, or take it to your local HP printer repair center. If you printer is still under warranty I would advised having them check it.

HP Photosmart 3310 printer shows all ink cartridges need replaced

If you ran the ink cartridge refill routine, from your desktop using the utility supplied by HP, this should not occur, so try running the head cleaning and alignment routines and see if this clears up the problems.

I am assuming that all your cartridges are relatively full and trouble free and that the printer has been successfully and recently used, prior to your replacement of the one new cartridge.

Sometimes, if the printer has been idle for some time without use, the ink will dry on the heads of perfectly good cartridges, causing the problem you cite.

Use alchohol based cleaner with the kind pads supplied with a new cartridge to regularly clean the heads of your ink cartridges, according to instructions in your manual and CAREFULLY, so as to not damage the heads.

Printer cartridge cradle is stuck-hp photosmart 7350

I just had the same problem...and this is what I did to get it working...

Turn off your printer. Open the top. Push the cartridge thingie off to the side (if possible) and then take QTips and cleaned the silver bar the cartridge moves on. Got a lot of ink off of it.
Should run after that.

Well, go to your local Ink Link franchise and ask them to clean the print heads on your cartridges, that should solve your problem. They should have the proper tools for that and you won't be wasting any more ink on software cleaning.
