Since you have reached the 999 track limit, it is possible your CF card may have been corrupted. On page 28 of your manual you should find the instructions for formatting your CF card. "How to Format a CF Card." This may get you going again.

Called the company. There is a misprint in the instructions.
In the section titled "Out-Going Announcement RECORD" on last step it says Press Exit to stop recording. It should have said Press Sel/Save.
I did this and it worked.
Repeat for Line 2 if you are doing both lines.
Next thing is to make sure you go right to the section titled "Configure Out-Going Announcement" and select the right type of message you want callers to hear for each line.
Worked like a charm and took 3 seconds to get 2 different personal messages on the machine.
Hi there!
No!! I have not solved this problem. I have done everything from following the
Manual Instructions on p.22, to unplugging the Recorder for several days and
then plugging it back in with the hope that in would work, to finally, taking
out the batteries of the Remote and pushing each of the buttons twice ...a
suggestion that I found on the Internet. All of these solutions were supposed
to return the Remote back to the default setting of DV3. Go figure! How are
things going for you? I am sure that you have noticed that there are NO
references for "technical support” anywhere in the Manual. .... no
e-mails or phone #'s. Any ideas where to go form here? johnb
