SOURCE: JVC GZ-MG275AA Everio Camcorder

Problem solved. I was thinking I could delete from the PowerCinema NE for Everio software program that comes with the camera but that is not the case, so it was just a matter of finding where all the video files were stored on the computer itself, ie, "myworks, Everio backup", and delete from there.

SOURCE: My 2 year old got ahold of my JVC Everio & deleted all the files.

OK generally the files aren't actually physically deleted... The software simply makes it so it can;t be found... usually simply by putting a $, or # sign in place of the first letter. So find yaself a freeware data recovery software and try ya luck... is a URL to get ya started..

SOURCE: can't transfer videos from JVC Everio camcorder onto my MAC

Share: How to import .tod files from JVC Everio HDD Camcorder to iMovie?

Requirements: iMovie (Part of the iLife 08 package)

Step 1: Connect the Everio to the Mac (Via USB)
Make sure you are powering the Everio from the mains before connecting your JVC Everio Camcorder.

Step 2: Playback on PC
Select “Playback on PC” on the Everio, once connected you will see the Everio HDD symbol appear on the desktop. The video files on the Everio are stored in the SD Folder/PRG***/MOV***.MOD.

Step 3: Open iMovie
Once you open iMovie, you will see that it recognizes the Everio straight away and will attempt to import your video.

You are now ready to use iMovie to edit your video files.

If need change .tod files to common video formats like mov, mp4, m4v, mpg, mpeg, dv, flv, avi, wmv, 3gp, mkv, mp3, aac, wma, m4a, etc. Mod Tod Video Converter for Mac is a good choice. The program can also convert mod tod to ipod, mod tod to iphone, tod to apple tv, tod to blackberry and more devices!

SOURCE: Deleting unwanted files with a JVC Everio MG130 Camera

Answer:what you do is you press the play/record button on the left side of the camcorder when it is open to get to the videos. then you use the laser touch operation to scroll to the video you want to delete. then, right under the screen there should be 5 buttons. the one to the left of the menu button has a picture of a garbage can looking thing above it. just press that and then press yes when it asks you if your sure.

I have a JVC GZ-HD300 Hard disc video camera and when using Everio Mediabrowser which comes with the camera download to convert my videos the conversion leaves the finished video blurred

Hi.

If the original footage was sharp, that means that you are probably using wrong compression parameter or format on Everio, while doing conversion.

If the source movie was blurred instead, try using the Advanced Image Stabilisation option, usually available in new JVC HD camcorder menu.

Everio has different quality settings. Each time you increase compression you lower quality.

Also ensure that the camera was not in a low definition setting.

Regards.

Ginko.

Too many files to handle

On the camcorder there is a function that allows you to create a play-list. This play-list group your recording into one file allowing for continuous playback (BUT... the original files cannot be deleted or the playlist will be deleted as well) burn a dvd from the playlist. Automatic grouping doesn't happen automatically on 20003-2008 JVC model camcorders. You would have to do this after you have finished you recordings. Another option is while using the software that comes with the camcorder this allows you to import what files you what to save and group it that way by the date. There is no need to edit if you don't want to.

HDD error

I got the same HDD error on mine also. I removed the zif drive from the camcorder and checked it with an external zif hd adapter and the hard drive was good. I emailed JVC and asked them what is wrong with it they said to just mail it in for repair. I think it has to do with deleting the original hidden files and folders that were factory installed because when I checked the hard drive for folders it didn't have any in it(mistakenly deleted or moved). From what I have read from the manual you are not suppose to change folder names or delete hidden files. Hope this post helps you out a little. If you figure any thing else out post more info. Thanks.
