Check the LCD on your printer control panel or the status monitor on your computer for an error message. If there is an error message, follow the instructions to clear it.
If there is no error message, or if the problem continues:
Open the access door.
Disconnect the power adapter from the back of the printer.
CAUTION: Do not use force on the printhead carriage to move it. Gently move the printhead carriage from side to side to see that it moves freely and there are no obstructions.
Remove any obstructions that may prevent the printhead carriage and ink cartridges from moving to the center position.
Close the access door.
Connect the power adapter to the printer.
Remove the ink cartridges from the printhead.
Verify that the labels on the ink cartridges are intact, and that the cartridges are not damaged.
firmly until you hear it click into position.
Insert the color ink cartridge into the printhead, then press down firmly until you hear it click into position.
Disconnect the printer and check on the right: is the urge unit ok ? No peace of paper ?
Solution 2:
Do a reset of the printer:
Power on
Hold down the "Resume" button (triangle in a circle) for 15 to 20 seconds.
Solution 3:
Power off the printer.
Open the door.
Power on.
When the cartridge is in the center, close the door.
Solution 4:
Open the lid and allow the ink cartridge carrier to center itself.
Looking to the right, you will see a row of white rollers behind the carrier.
At the end of the rollers there is a small, clear piece of plastic that sticks up. Take a small piece of a paper towel and wipe all of the ink off this piece of plastic. When that is clean move on to the ink pad.
About 1 inch, towards the front of the printer from that piece of plastic, is a small square, about 1/2 inch per side, that is a small foam pad. This is where the excess ink is collected.
Take a piece of paper towel and press into the foam. Do this until the paper towel is no longer collecting ink. Close the lid, turn off the printer then turn it back on.
This error could appear on these Canon Pixma printers: MP110, MP540, MP630, MP620, MP640, IP3600...

Lift the printer unit up. Position the scanner support beam between the tabs to hold the printer unit lid open. The ink cartridge carrier moves to the loading position in the center of the printer.
Press down on the lever in front of the right and left ink cartridges lid. The lid opens and raises up.
Remove the color and black ink cartridges from the carrier. Inspect the cartridges to ensure that it is compatible with the Dell 926 printer. The proper cartridge is called Dell 926 Standard Capacity Color Ink and Dell Standard Capacity Black Ink.
Examine the cartridges for any tape over the ink nozzle. New cartridges have a strip of tape covering the bottom of the cartridge that must be removed before installing into the printer.
Insert the cartridges into the carrier so the label is on top with the color logo side going in first. Press the lid down to snap it into place.
Push the scanner support bar back to release it. Lower the printer unit until it is closed.
Turn the printer off. Restart the computer. Turn the printer on. If the error message appears again, the cartridges may be defective and needs to be replaced.
That is normal, the printer "sees" the cartridges by their serial number, so when you pop in a refilled cartridge, the printer thinks you have put in old cartridges and continue to show low ink level. When you pop in a new one, with a new serial code, the ink level will reset, showing that the cartridges are full again. You can try this: 1. Open printer lid so cartridges move to center of carriage.
2. Lift clamp and remove black or color cartridge from the holder.
3. Place cartridge on table with copper contact strip facing you.
4. Carefully place a strip of clear plastic tape over the four contacts on the upper left corner of the cartridge.
5. Reinstall cartridge in printer and close lid. Wait until cartridge returns to parking position.
6. Open lid and remove cartridge again. Remove tape from left side and
place tape over four contacts at upper right corner of cartridge.
7. Reinstall cartridge in printer and close lid. Wait until cartridge returns to parking position again.
8. Open lid again, remove cartridge, remove tape.
9. Reinstall cartridge and close lid.
Printer will now recalibrate. Once the process is complete the ink level meter should be reading full again. Doesn't always work, but you can try. Here are links, so you can see: http://www.misterinkjet.com/hp56reset.htm http://www.misterinkjet.com/hp57reset.htm
Gently pull on the ribbon cable that leads to the print head and it should come across; at least mine did when the Serivce Error 5200 came up. Once in the middle pull the power plug, replace the cartridge, cloase the lid and then power it on. Hopefully this gets you up and running.
ERROR CODE 6502
