If you have not already done so, try another power adapter. In some cases, the cord between the power rectifier/step down transformer (the part that actually plugs into the AC outlet) and the connector at the frame end, becomes kinked or broken. The connector at the frame may also have become worn and not propely connected? If a second adapter does not work then the unit is faulty. Take it to your nearest service center for repair. (it may be less expensive to purchase another digital frame?)

My sreen for months hs been stuckon screen that says androidsystem recover

Try the simple stuff first ... turn the picture frame off. Then remove the AC power adapter from the a/c socket in the wall. Wait 30 seconds then plug the adapter back into the wall outlet. Turn your picture frame back on and notice any error messages that may get displayed.

Sony DPF-d72n digital photo frame will not switch on

Solved!

My Sony DPF-D72N frame is a few years old. Today I unplugged it (fool!) and plugged it back in. The screen would flash on and off to black. Power button light would turn on and off. After plugging and unplugging it a few times, it would not turn on at all.

I tested the power supply, and it showed 5V. I was about to throw the frame away, but on a whim, I tested a 2nd power supply. It worked!

So even though the power supply looked like it was working, it was only without a load on it.

Replace your power supply!

I happened to have a spare 5V 2A power supply, so I just chopped the end of the dead power supply and soldered it onto the new one.

And we all lived happily ever after.

I have a Philips PhotoFrame - SPF3408/G7 (SPF3408T/G7). When plugged in no picture comes on screen. Screen does not light up. I viewed pictures yesterday - but - I don't get anything today. I know...

Keep in mind that Digital Photo Frame can display the same photo continuously for 1000 hours without any damage to the LCD screen.
If you can enter to the settitgn menu, first make sure the system is properly powered. Then use a pin to trigger the reset button located on the side of the power button on the back to restore the system...

If this isnt work try...
  1. Load all the photos you want to upload to the Photo Frame in the root directory of your memory card.
  2. Power off your Photo Frame by pressing the Power button.
  3. Insert the memory card into the slot in the frame.
A For a Compact Flash card, firmly slide card in the larger slot end first and face down.
B For an xD, SD, MMC, or Memory Stick card slide card in the smaller slot end first and face up until it locks into place.
zjlimited_476.gif

  1. Restart Photo Frame by pressing the Power button.
  2. After a few seconds, all photos in the root directory of the memory card will be automatically added to Photo Frame. The root directory on memory card will not be emptied after this operation.

Please do not remove the memory card just after inserting it in Photo Frame or when Photo Frame is counting the Photo.
Wait until the screen is stable.

NOTE: This operation does not apply to photos in sub-directories.

If anyone of this procedures work fine, I suggest contact your local service (check if even is underwarranty).

Good luck.

My external is hooked up to the frame through the usb, but itwill only let me choose internal memory or slideshow folders, it wont let me choose usb when i try to select media sources. how do i get it to...

The external hard drive is diferent from a regular USB stick, so this is probably the case. You could check the manual of the photo frame and the manual of the externa drive, probably you will find some settings that reffer to this.

You could also check that the external drive is plugged in to AC, and turned on, many drives require alternative power source when conected to low power readers like your photo frame.

Siren digital picture frame wont turn on

I had to fix my boss's digital photo frame today and it looks like it was a power supply issue. All i did to fix it was connect a usb cable AND the powersupply. The frame turned on right away. The power supply may not be able to output enough juice for powering up the frame.

Can't get photos from MAC to load to Digital Photo Frame

To connect to a Macintosh computer:
1 Plug in and turn on the digital picture frame.

2 Connect the small end of the usb cable to the usb port on the side of the digital picture frame.

3 Connect the larger end of the usb cable to a USB port on your Macintosh computer. The Macintosh will recognize the digital picture frame as an external storage device, and an icon will appear representing the device.

4 Drag and drop your photos on to the icon...

5. After you finish, press the eject button, and disconnect the usb cable once the icon has dissappeared

If there is still a problem, try restarting the macbook. and make sure no other programs are running in the background that may interfere with the process. Also, make sure the laptop is plugged in, or the battery power is sufficient.

Hope this helps!
