Earphone pads I want to replace the earphone pads on my CD walkman, but I don't know how to do it.

  • Jonathan Hubbard Jul 02, 2007

Thank you for your input, but I took the earphones to RadioShack and the girl at the counter was able to put new pads on my earphones without removing the speakers from the phones.

Why buy new earphones? There was nothing wrong with the old ones.

The hand set does not work I can not talk or recieve. but it will ring when a call comes in and leave information

Ok, here's my theory you used an earphone but it didn't disconnect. To know if this so if you see the earphone icon on your phone then that is the case. This happened to one of my phones. Anyway here is how you can solve this plug in an earphone and shake the plug gently while still plugged in. Take out the earphone. If the icon comes off problem solved if not.... .... Try again. It is usually because of the switch in the earphone jack that switches between headset and handheld mode becoming jammed. :) hope this solution helps

No sound for earphone, there are no rca jacks, the earphone is used to attach speakers, but there is no sound from the earphone jack

if their is a sound from the internal speaker then the problem is with in only in the earphone jack or in the connection. to access the internal part of the tv you need to remove the rear cover. locate the earphone jack terminal re soldered and check the connection at the board ( PCB). you can check also the continuity, attached powered pc speaker then use an analog tester and check weather their is a connection coming from the stereo input jack going to the terminal of the earphone jack of the tv. if no connection replace with new earphone jack. good luck hope this can helped.

My phones right earphone is not working.

Hi,
The problem is obviously as a result of the fact there is a loop in the wire as a result of a breakage in the wire hence the right earphone is not working.
The solution is to replace the wire that connects to the right earphone,or better still get another earphone.

Thanks and take care

Wire disconnect from left earphones

Time for some ingenuity.Disassemble the housing to get to the wire connections. The solder pads where the wires go are usually marked + or minus(-). The white/colored wire(signal) goes on the + side. This could be a red dot. The other wire (black) goes on the other pad(-). These wires are so fine they sometimes use nylon thread to give it a lil strength.Good Luck! dnbbgy

Product KOSS UR15C headhones. Problem: short in the cable which causes sound cutout when moved. Its right at the connection to the earphone. WHAT I NEED TO KNOW: How to take the earphone apart...

I'm afraid there's is no easy way of doing it, most headphones I have fixed needed force to get the pads of and for that matter to put them back on! It's just a case of taking great care and easing it off a bit at a time. If you encounter any foam that can be glued on afterwards with Bostik solvent free all purpose glue.

How do i know if my amp is blown

Hey Yoo,

Go to Radio shack and get you an adapter that will take an earphone jack and convert it to RCA male.  You use this to simulate the signal coming from the reciever.  Hook up to a Cd player or Walkman, anything with an earphone output jack. Test that the device actually puts out music or anything worth listening to.  Connect the device to the input of your amp, with the car running, and the reciever turned on.. This will tell yo if the signal is getting from the reciever to the amp. You may not be getting signal from the head unit.

If you still get no sound to the woofers, dsisconnect the woofers and try a different speaker.  If that speaker dont work,  Change setting and switches., and if you still get no sound, then your amp is toast.
