Greetings, This dinosoar needs a part to make his life complete. Anyone have a good source for a drivebelt for the following: Technics SLBD22 turntable A schematic for how the little devil goes back in would be appreciated as well. Thanks! Peter H. [email protected]

Steve W. www.turntablebasics.com I recently ordered and received the correct belt for the Technics SL-BD22. The belt was only $10. (Shipping extra. My shipping was $4) I just finished putting it on and it works like new. Turntablebasics also provide instructions on removing the platter and replacing the belt. Friendly service, reasonable price, and more importantly - it works!
LPGEAR>com is where I got my last set of two.
Very fast shipping and e-mails on status as well.
Great source!!
I have the same turntable, and while it was working well the last time I used it the belt partly melted and stretched.
I was just about to convert vinyl to cd when I discovered the malady.
If I find a belt source I'll let you know.

oh, and once you find it it's laughably simple to install:
1.lift the rubber mat from the turntable exposing the metal
surface that turns.
2.lift the metal wheel, turn it upside down, place the rubber band
on it, turn the wheel back over, stretch the band enough to
place it on the little pulley, easily seen through the large viewhole
on the disc, and viola, it's like your back in 1979!
