Date is not displayed on LCD or on printed photo

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. The date and time appear in the lower-left corner of the screen, both when taking pictures and when reviewing pictures you've already taken.

how to add date and time to photos

in your menu settings there is a option to display date on print - turn that on.

1. Press the “w” button to turn the camera on in Playback mode.
2. Press the “MENU/OK” button to display the menu on the LCD monitor.
3. Press “a” or “b” to select “¸” PRINT ORDER (DPOF).
4. Press “c”.
5. Press “a” or “b” to select “WITH DATE” or “WITHOUT DATE”. Selecting “WITH DATE” will cause the date to be imprinted on your prints.
6. Press the “MENU/OK” button.

Note: When selecting the “WITH DATE” setting, the date is imprinted on your shots using the Print Service or a DPOF compatible printer (depending on the printer specifications, the date may not be printed in some cases).

All photographs taken with this camera having a data file with it, called meta data. All these file in formation can be viewed in clicking file info in photoshop.
The Metadata tags defined in the Exif standard cover a broad spectrum:

• Digital cameras will record the current date and time in hour, minute,seconds and save this in the metadata.
• Camera settings like such as the camera model and make , and information that varies with each image such as orientation, aperture , shutter speed, focal length, metering mode, flash mode and ISO speed information.
• A thumbnail for previewing the picture on the camera's LCD screen, in file managers, or in photo manipulation software.
