Battery charges full in 1 1/2 hour then holds for 1 day or less. Changed the battery, phone & charge at different times still the same problem. Is this normal for this model?
Mine all of a sudden began going dead in no time at all. I charged it yesterday evening, talked on it for 20 minutes, and by the time I woke up this morning, it was dead (7 hrs later).

Have you try to use another charger to charge and it doesn't hold charge? if yes., no problem because it be that your charger is bad. But since it does not charge with another charger, it means the charging port is bad.
The problem with the phone is the charging port, the charging port of your phone is not charging the phone that is why it doesn't hold any charge,
All you need to do is to change the charging port of your phone and you will see that your phone will hold charge.
The battery is faulty or needs replacing. All rechargable batteries lose their efficiency over time meaning that they hold charge for less time. It sounds like your battery is either at the end of it's life or has a fault. If the phone is less than 12 months old, it's worth contacting the seller or manufacturer to ask for a replacement
You need to replace your battery. When you do follow these steps to preserve battery life.
1. Fully charge battery for 24 hours
2. Make sure that you use the phone without charging it until the phone tells you the battery is low.
3. Fully charge the battery until it reaches full again.
The reason your battery is failing to hold a charge is a problem call battery memory. The less power that you use off the battery the less capacity the battery has.
Same problem here but phone is 14 mo old. Just stopped charging even though it says it is. Got new battery, same thing. Charged battery in different phone and was fine. swapped and it works. so... phone is bad somehow.
its because of a faulty charger more than the battery but you could try changing the battery and charger both that should improve the results.
but the piece getting hot might be due to moisture in the piece thus a shorting of some sort, my advice switch to a different piece sell it off, as the v3 circuitry is too complicated for repairs.
It depends on how much talking your doing. The Slvr is known for its low talk-time battery power. My slvr would last about 3 to 4 days on a charge, unless i was talking on it a lot. sometimes i would be charging it every other day. So it really all depends on the talk-time. Invest in a car charger for sure.
sounds like your battery has built a memory and thinks its full try replaceing the battery its a common problem with cell phone dont charge them till they are almost ead and let them drain completely from time to time to avoid this problem
