Try changing batteries in the remote control. If you have a camera point the remote control at the camera and press the buttons on the remote control. If you see the little LEd at the end of the remote control flashing white on the cameras screen then the remote works then there is something wrong with the tv, if not then more than likely the remote is broke.
it may have a problem within the tv itself not on the remote control. its problem maybe in the system control i.c that control the infrared remote receiver
