Ti 89 buttons won't work

A few days ago gatorade was spilled over my ti89. It ceased to function after the accident, but then after a day of letting it dry out (without opening/disassembling the calculator) it turned on. My problem is that the "on" button is the only button that actually works. When ever i turn on the calculator i promptly see "installation in progress, do not attempt to interrupt," and then the main menu. I can't do anything because none of the other buttons work.
What should i do? do i have a similar problem: http://www.fixya.com/support/t987653-screen_frozen_calculator_not_responding

Cant find ! button

There is no such thing as a TI89 Plus Silver Edition.

If you mean the TI-89 or TI-89 Titanium, press diamond / (the diamond key below the 2ND key, then the divide key).

If you mean the TI-83 Plus Silver Edition or the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition, press MATH left-arrow 4 .

TI-89 Titanium screen frozen at apps menu

Remove the small memory battery, and then remove one of the four AAA batteries, then while holding down the APPS button reinstall the AAA battery and then it should say waiting to recieve operating system then hook it up to your computer with the silver connect cable and then on the computer send the operating system to the TI89 Titanium, and wait for it to install completely and it should work.

I spilled gatorade on my TI84 graphing calculator..what should i do?!

Do not attempt to turn the calculator on for several days. Remove the batteries. Once the electronics (battery compartment especially) is dry, you can attempt to power it back up and it may or may not work.

My TI-89 will not turn on or respond in any way. The last time I used the calc was 4 months ago. I tried to turn it on a few days ago but it would not work so I changed the batteries. That didn't work and...

Take out one battery. While holding the "On" button, put the battery back in. I can honestly not explain what happened, but it has happened to me multiple times as well. You might have to do this more than once, but within a few attempts, it should start working again. Tell me how it works out, and hope this helps!

Change TI 84 OS to TI 89 OS??

And why, pray tell, would you do such a thing? You will ruin your Ti84 Plus Silver Edition and will not have a working TI89. Besides, TI connect will refuse to transfer it.
If you like the capabilities of the TI89 Titanium, buy a cheap or used one on e-bay or amazon.com and spare your TI84PLus SE.

I received this solution, but at the end the calculator asked me about some invalid certificate. Now the ti 89 is stuck at the boot screen because if I retry, it goes thru the whole process again and asks...

Hello,
The answer I gave you was taken verbatim from the TI FAQ and knowledge base. I copied and pasted the part relevant to you calculator.
In any case, I sent an e-mail message to [email protected], giving the link to your original question and my answer to it. I took the liberty to copy/paste your present message. I also asked about that invalid certificate.
All we can do know is wait for their reply.

Deleting the 3D function

I heard of instructor disabiling APPS but, not functions. One reason I can't see that is I can download a program that does the same thing and hide it w/ instructor even knowing its there unless he ran a search in ever folder or open a lot of programs
