Login to Skype. Now click Tools from the menu bar. Click Options from the list and choose Video Settings. Underneath
Select Webcam, there is a bar with a little downward arrow. Click on
the arrow and a list of webcam devices will appear. Choose a different
one from the list. I had to choose USB Video Device to get mine to work.

On Skype run the Audio / Video setup and make sure your webcams mic is selected as the default Mic.
You will find that under tools.

you start Windows Live Messenger, expand the view by clicking on the
square on top left next to the red X.

on the Windows Live messenger window on the right side, click on “ “Show
Menus.” And then click on “Show the Menu Bar”.

go to the Menu Bar on right side, click on “ “Action.”
Go to
“TOOLS” and click “Audio and Video Setting” and follow the
instructions.
