Mitsubishi WS-65807 Won't turn on....

My TV was working great one day then the next when I pushed the power button the green timer light turned green but no picture came on the screen and no sound either. I can hear the normal startup sound that it makes and when I look through the back I see 3 objects that look like they are on and red in color around the edges. Someone said it might be the bulb. Could it be something so simple as this? I don't see this listed anywhere as a fix for these TV's. The error code is 1 2 which I found to be "no error noted"

I push the on button, and a green timer lite next to it lites for approx 1 to two seconds. I then hear a click from the back of the tv, and the timer lite goes out. Then nothing.

Powers on & immediately off

On the middle board there are three green ceramic pico fuses
12_31_2011_7_11_11_pm.pngIf you know how to test them, then test them. If not, then just replace them. They are something like 5 for a dollar. They protect the image side of your TV from the power side. Some people have trouble with the capacitors, but I have never seen it happen. Chances are that you can fix it for a dollar.

the dlp will most likely need a qualified mits repair center to take over for you. repairing that set is pretty involved. and the parts you would need are not available to the public.
on your 48" CRT projection check the DM module for 4 vented 1000mf 16v capacitors. replacement should get you tv working great

Tv does not stay on.

Your most likely having a problem with your power supply. I would say check the capacitors for obvious signs of swelling and all fuses first. Next I would check your low voltage regulators.Have you tried pushing the menu and imput buttons together and holding them for 5 seconds to access the self diagnosis feature? If you cant initiate the self diagnosis feature its probaly the capacitors or Regulators.

67" rear projection Mitsubishi....

Sounds like a cold solder joint, turn the main pcb over and see if you find any cracked solder or where the solder looks like it got hot.
