E pson are very naughty when it comes to printers as when the have done 60-70,000 prints something tells you that you need to take it to engineer to fix the problem. All they do is connect it to programme of theres and it resets the counter to zero. Most people just throw the printer in te bin and buy a new one. This could be what is happening to your printer. This means that people will go out and buy one of theirs.I have had the same problem.

This is a "General Error" issue, not a service required one.

It's likely that either a sensor in the printer is damaged (possibly a ribbon cable has come detached)... or more likely there is some foreign body or printer part that's come loose and is blocking the printhead carriage path.

A common one I've seen with the C86 and similar is for the head cleaning part become detached from the parking pad (all based far right)... When it does this it springs up into the printheads path and stops it from reaching the parking position.

It requires patience to fix (and some rubber gloves to avoid ink mess) but if notice a part doing an impression of a jack in the box then you can usually gently push the part down and then careful maneuver it over to the right into a connection with the parking pad part.

It's hard to describe without pictures but it gives you an idea of what to look for.

I was using my sewing machine when there was a loud cracking noise-the needle had broken and I replaced it but now the machine won't work. When I press the pedal I can hear the motor whirring but the...

Have you pulled apart the bobbin race area and checked for any bits of broken needle?

Is the clutch disengaged on the flywheel?

Otherwise, was the loud cracking noice coming from inside the machine case in which case it could be a gear internally that went and the needle breaking was just the result of this, in which case, time for a road trip to the service tech.

Red light error

OFF the printer.open the top cover whole scanner unit .then look at the black base where usually cartridge moves when the printer is ON when you give printouts..press that black base and it will move little bit down .that whole black base comes little bit up due to some reason and when the cartridge holder moves from left to right for its internal allignments/adjustments it clashes that part somewhere and make such noices.and gives the service error..just press that whole 7- 8 inches base where the cartridge moves slowly ,carefully and firmly.then ON the printer and check.do it again if it does not becomes ok after first time.

rate the solution if it helps
thanks.

Epson Stylus CX3200 ( loud noise like paper is jammed) error message comes up.

By pulling the paper out backwards your sister may have caused a gear to jump. You could try pulling a piece of paper out in the other direction and maybe the gear will jump back into place. Otherwise you will probably have to have the printer serviced.
