Netgear DHCP issue

It sounds like it's not configured to be a DHCP server. It should be a setting you can turn on. Login to the router. You may need to manually set your computer's IP to be in the same subnet as the router so that you can do so. The default address for the Netgear 7550 would be http://192.168.254.254, so you'll have to set your computer's IP to something like 192.168.254.253, and then browse to the above address. Username and password are both "admin". If that IP doesn't work, try setting your computer's IP to 192.168.1.2, and browse to http://192.168.1.1, then look for a "DHCP Server" setting in the Local Area Network section, and make sure it's checked.

Cannot connect to att DSL through Linksys router.

hi
I've tried:
Having the router get an IP automatically from the modem.
Changing the router's IP address.
Having the modem pass PPPoE authentication to the router.
Bridging the modem.
Power cycling the guts out of everything.

ATT wireless router not working

All of the things you mentioned here are correct. But if you can purchase a power adapter with the same specs as the original power cord that came with the router it should work too.

Wireless system strength on laptop away from router

I don't beleive it's your dsl, It seems to be a problem with your router, since it sounds like it is not broadcasting well. Consider a new router before ridding of your ATT DSL.

Recently I subscribed ATT DSL Service conflict IP Address

the motorola modem that att is using uses 192.168.1.x subnet. log onto your router and change it to 192.168.b.x where b is any number between 2 and 254 (just not 1). You should also log onto the modem and change the setting that allows it to share the external ip address with the router. You will need to do this if you plan on accessing your network from the internet.

Cannot connect with ATT modem

Connect your pc to the ATT box. If online, check the ip address of the computer. If the ip address is 192.168.1.x, then you just have to change the router ip address. The wrt54g ip is 192.168.1.1, it may be having conflict with the ATT modem. Change the wrt54g ip to 192.168.2.1
