Cant get power to mtx rt251d amp?

Did you get the amp new, or purchase it from somewhere else? Ive had instances in which i bought a used amp, and it was simply broken. In that instance bring it to your local audio store and they should be able to hook it up and see why it isn't working. If you got it new simply return it and get another.

Will i have problems running a single 2 ohmn sub?

Hello
If the amp is designed to drive a 2Ohms sub, and you are using the speaker with same impedence, there will be no harm to it. A sub amp will heat up to an extent normally, so proper ventilation shoud be provided to it. That is all.

I have a kenwood 350watt amp on 2 mtx thunder 12's

Hello
Check the impedence of the connected speakers. if any impedence mismatch is there, the amp will sense it and will cuto the output OFF. Use only specified speakers only. The impedence of speakres are expressed in "Ohms". Select all speakers of same impedence. If 6 Ohms is the output impedence of the amp, use only that Ohms speaker. Never use a speaker less that this Ohms. You can use a higher impedence speaker, say 8 Ohs or 16Ohms. But never use lower impedence speakers, of connect two speakers in parellel connection, which will relult in overloading. I think that I've made a satisfactory solution to you. Please don't hesitate to rate this solution. Good luck
Wish you a Merry X'mas and Happy 2012.

What is best way to wire 2 mtx thunder 4500's to a kenwood kac-7205? thanks! james

I would hook up the subs in parallel set up. Lower the resistance causes the amp to create more power to the amp. Your amp can handle 2 ohm load so from my stand point it is best to set up this way. Here is the link that displays how to set up subs:

Im trying to run two kenwood 6/9,s and a mtx sledge hammer 12'' sub of a mtx 6004 amp.where do i put my rca,s front or rear / and if this is poss how do i bridge the sub ????? im lost

Im kind of confused with what exactly your asking. Are you trying to run 3 subs off of an amp? If so, the RCA's should go to the front of the amp, and if your plugging 3 subs in to it, you need to have a 3+ channel amp. There is a way to hook it up differently though. I have 4 12" Hifonics subs running off a 2400 watt Nitro-BMW-486 amp. I just have two subs running to each of the two channels.

Hi i have two 10'' jenson xs sub and they are about 6 years old and i was wondering wut amp size i should buy to run them.

I believe these are 4ohms, if so buy a 2ohm stable monoblock amp, that puts out 250-300 watts RMS, and connect your subs to it in parallel, don't pay attention to peak watts, look at RMS watts, or continuous watts. If they're 2 ohms, buy a 2 ohm stable 2 channel amp that puts out 125-150 watts RMS per channel, and 250-300 watts total or bridged RMS output. And connect them normally, on sub per channel... hope this helps, as far as brand recommendations, MTX, pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood... Good luck

Amp works fine i think??? but Prsim efx not working at all

You need to contact MTX tech support before the warranty runs out. You'll probably have to get an RA number to send it back.
