Polaroid FLM-3732 Television turns on then off

A common problem with this television is the power unit. Some of the capacitors go out on them within 2 years. You can buy a replacement power unit for about $150 or if you know how to use a soldering gun you can purchase the capacitors for about $5 and fix the unit yourself.

I just fixed my Polaroid 3732 and it cost me $3.49. I would push the power button and the standby light would come on but the picture would not appear. After I changed the capacitors it starts right up.

Polaroid flm-3232 powers on but makes a loud squeling noise picture distorts sometimes

Look at the power supply first; look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc. Look for 5vdc, 12vdc, and 24dvc.

High pitch screech w/no signal

is this a picture tube type of tv? big in back? If so, it could be the tube/circuit short.

If it flatpanel, it could be a bad capacitor in the DM or "Y" board or even possibly faulty power supply. Further testing will be necessary
