Our machine stops and starts

The footpedal connection that goes into the back of the machine is loose, we can wiggle it quite a bit.
We have difficulty starting the tape, once we get the wire connection stable and we dont move it the machine works fine

This is either a frayed wire inside the main connection or a poor solder connection. Either problem is easily fixed by a repair shop. Call around to get a labor cost. You shouldn't pay more than $20-$30 for this repair as it will take longer to openit up than to actually repair the fault.

How can i stop my singer brilliance 6180 sewing machine from running... once i start sewing by stepping on the foot control.. even when i take my foot off.. it stills continues to sew and i have no idea...

you may find that the footpedal is faulty however there is a place on your footpedal where you can adjust the speed.. or sensitivity it takes a small screwdriver, have alook at your pedal is there a tiny screw or little hole maybe a plus or minus sign on it

Loose column shifter

Look under dash where steering column is. Find the connection for the shift cable. see if the mount that the cable end connects to is loose. wiggle it. If it is there are 2 torx screws that mount the bracket to the shift tube that you need to tighten. I think they are a T-27 size bit. This is a common problem on fords. easy fix. I usually will take the screws out and use a thread locking compound in them to stop it from happening again.

Put on 1min - starts and stops after a second. Moved micro about month ago and put it back - works okay. Fautly again to day - moved it - connected and it works. Ready to move back to place and tested and...

Hi,
Yes.... your outlet is no good...when the Micro starts to use more power the plug to outlet connection heats up a bit and the contact is momentarily broken...then it goes back on as soon as the power usage is stopped...

Replace the outlet that you are plugging the microwave into and your problem will be solved...

Starter has lost power when we wiggle wires truck will start..once turned off won't start again untill we re-wiggle wires. seems like the black housing that the red wire goes into is loose.

You have a loose connection on the starter or a grounded wire that causes a short. When you wiggle the wires you break the contact causing the short so it starts. Replace them and the problem will go away.

Machine just stops. A little shake gets it going again for a brief time then it stops again. Neptune model MAH6700AWW

You probably have a loose connection. My guess would be the door switch, since that's probably where I'd bump it to get it going again. The fix is easy: gain access to the back side of the switch, and make sure that the wires are making good connection. Also, check that the latch and lock don't have anything loose, may be it's something that you ccan tighten without going into the machine to wiggle wires. Check for the loose fittings first, tighten up what you can with the door open.

Sony BM-246 working, then not

If your cassette stops but the counters keep rewinding the left hand rewind spool is worn. This is accessible from the top by carefully removing the little washer/clip and inspecting the drive hex.Parts may be a problem although this is not that common a fault in a bm246. If the counters stop along with the cassette there is a drive problem in the deck and you are is deep****. If the B deck is the sad one the machine may have been used with a footpedal as a transcriber. The decks are interchangeable however and with a bit of care you could get a usable machine.. just unable to rewind the bad deck. Good luck.
