I know this is not what you're looking for but can be helpful if you travel out of your "region". To change to an UNIVERSAL region code, turn on the player (no disc on tray) press MENU and then keys 1 and 9 (so, Menu +19) then a region code number will appear. Set it up to 0 and now you've a multiregion dvd player. Hope this helps someone.. manny.
