Sound to one earphone only unless pressure applied.

I only get sound to one earpice unless pressure is applied to the side of the plug. I have tried three sets of earphones, the problem resides somewhere in the earphone port. Any suggestions?

Try taking a cue tip or something smaller and cleaning out the inside of the earphone port, sometimes dust can cause interference with the headphones

I have an hp 2011x monitor. How do I connect earphones for sound ?

If you are asking about where to connect the earphones to the monitor, you can't. As far as I can determine this model monitor does not have an earphone jack nor built in speakers.
This is a great HD monitor, but you will have to plug the earphones into the jack (green plug) on the front (and/or back) of the computer to get the sound.

No earphones sound OK, with earphones no sound

the connector may have come loose from the player board, you could try opening it and replacing/resoldering the port, but it would be best if you just sent it back for repair.

Sound to one earbud only.

The player should be replaced - the headphone jack or the headphone controller on the circuit are damaged, and these are nt orderable parts.

I have no sound on my HP Pavillion laptop

I had the same problem, but now its solved!

Brieftly speaking, my internal speaker stopped producing sound, but when I plug earphones in, there is sound in the earphones.

Just plug in-and-out ur earphones several times (it took me 5 tries) and voila internal speakers work again!

I think there is a mechanical sensor inside the sound output (plug for the earphone) so that once it senses a plug getting in, it shuts internal speaker.

Maybe the mechanical sensor was jammed (spring problem i guess) and it still believe that u have ur earphones plugged-in. "Clogging" the hole for the earphones would allow the spring to spring back to initial position...

Hope it helps

Wireless cell phone. Model LG VX4500

Have you tried plugging in an earphone in the earphone jack? If you get sound from that, it may be that your jack has an internal fault. This is a common problem. Sometimes just blowing out the jack with compressed air does the trick too.
