Karcher hd 5 11/c pressure washer no pressure

Ok hear we go ,have had the karcher just long enough for the warranty to run out ,it draws its water from a tank in my van no probs for 12 months or so till it started getting a little reluctant to start, remedy connect it to mains water supply and it would spring to life, till just after christmas, then nothing rang spairsgiant they sent out a new on off switch now fitted and back to square one .the engine sounds to be working fine have disconnected the hp hose and ran mains water through for 20 mins, reassembled switched on and nothing just the usual normal engine noise and mains pressure water at the lance, inlet filter is clear ,and there are no leaks noticed ,i run a heater in the van on cold nights so i dont think frost is an issue ,any ideas please???????

Your problem is simply a worn bypass valve on its awy out. It still works enough for mains pressure but can not pressurise when drawing water.

Karcher 5/11c motor runs but no pressure

Firstly make sure the pressure set valve is turned the right way, fully anticlockwise I think.(if it has one I could be thinking of the next model up) and that the lance nozzle is in the correct position not set to detergent or mid point between positions. If that is ok it is probably the switch at the bottom of the machine. If under warranty send it back karcher switches are not good.

I have a Karcher K3.540 pressure washer. Won't take up detergent and motor pulses ever second if vari-lance increased towards maximim. Motor runs ok at lower pressure but can take 1min to start wh

This fault is within the control head, under the detergent valve is a small spring loaded valve that acts to induce the detergent, this will have failed, the shaft of the component breaks off the disk base leaving a small hole in the centre of the disk. This is enough to allow pressure past the component. The machine will pulse when operated and will not induce the detergent. I've looked everywhere to find this part as I have a karcher with the same fault.

I have a Karcher 3.49M purchased 8/2/09. Using the washer I inadvertently turned on after changing hoses, but forgot to turn water back on; this activation lasted only a couple of minutes before I realized...

Normally when you dry run a machine you damage the pump so it would probably need changing. The motor might be Ok but for you to fix it you will need to take it to a Karcher dealer/service center.

From experiance it sometimes can be more cost efficient to purchase a new Karcher machine and get the 12 month warranty than spending money on an older machine.

My Kärcher K2.080 pressure cleaner (1450psi /

According to my search, Karcher has a 2 year warranty on this product. If you can get the serial number and model number off of it. They should be able to identify when it was made and then can honor that warranty. Otherwise the pump seals appear to be damaged by your description of the problem. Hope I've helped.

Motor running, water supply adequate but when

clean whole water supply and outlet from all debris, clean inlet filter as well. connect water and pressurise washer, pull trigger and wait about 3sec for pump to activate, if pump do not activate adn you have pressure from nozzle as it will be from main, this determines pressure sensor (it is extremelly rare for pump itself) is damaged.

check if you have still warranty, this will qualify as warranty repair, if warranty is expired, pressure sensor need to be replaced.

if you find my advice useful, please do not hesitate to leave your remarks and vote for me, thanx!
