Our LG microwave oven (LMVM1945SB model) has been turning itself on. It appears that it is just the turn table on; not the microwave itself. It happens quite often. Customer Service does not help.

I don't remember this happening prior to two weeks ago, but I may have just not noticed (new house). Is there some easy way to diagnose what's causing this problem? The unit turned itself on....twice so far. Then the buttons wouldn't work to turn it off. I had to open the door to get it to stop. Unplugged it, started over. Now some buttons work. It's usually a bad door switch or a broken door switch mount.

Noise may be due to turn table motor or cooling fan,watch and diagnose,if turn table motor is noise than replacement is solution,in the case of fan noise clean & oil it.
The Turn Table motor will need to be replaced, this appears to be a common problem in the microwave ovens. I recommend a suitable technician because there are dangerous high voltage present.
If you were to take the turntable coaster out and wash it in hot washing up water paying attention to the wheel surfaces, I think that will fix your problem as I suspect the wheels are uneven with deposits stuck to at least one. Hope this helps.
Remove the outer cover from the microwave oven to gain access to the door hinges. With the door off, and lying face down on the table, carefully pop-or-pry the plastic door seal off the inside. Presto, access.
Take off the case. You'll see two prongs on the door. If they are out of adjustment.And don't trip the contacts. nothing will work. Theres nothing mech on the turntable, the micowaves make it turn. Just make sure it turns freely,and is clean.
