Sheck the hinche if is twist or pull that the most comon problem. If is that, disconect the door ahd replace the hinche. If the hintch is OK sheck the lock set up if is of place. Some time is being forced to open or to close it and bend the lock clip.

Testimonial: "This needs to be added to the Trouble Shooting guide of the manual. This is exactly what I was looking for - THANK YOU!"

SOURCE: Child safety feature is worn out and won't let my machine run. How do I bypass/disable this feature so my machine can work again?

YES. You can bypass this feature pretty easily. There are two wires going to this little device. Pull the two wires off and use a wire nut to "wire" them together.

Be sure to unplug the dryer as you do this work so you don't get a serious shock.

I have a whirlpool microwave WM1107ADWC and I want to turn off the Child lock. How can I do it? I don't have kids and i want to save time when I use my microwave. Thanks

Child locks on microwaves act as a safety feature to prevent children from getting harmed or from causing other possible damage. The child safety lock does not lock access to the microwave; it simply prevents the microwave from being operated. To remove the child lock press the Stop button three times.

Lock the microwaveIf you wish to re-lock the microwave, perform a similar procedure. Instead of pressing the Stop button you need to press the Start button. Press the Start button three consecutive times to lock the microwave. This enables the child lock once again and prevents the microwave from being operated.
check this video also. Many Whirlpool microwaves are made by LG. between these two you should get it.

The child lock on my LG front loader washer is now at about 5 minutes each load. How can I SUCCESSFULLY turn the thing off???

i think your issue is either the door lock itself or the control panel. i would start by unplugging the unit(or tripping the circuit breaker), then hold in the power button for about 10 secs--this resets many LG washer's electronics. then plug back in an see if that helps. i do not think your issue is the child lock feature, but rather the safety door lock feature. good luck.

Is there a child proof lock on whirlpool duet gew9250pw and if so how do you unlock it for the dryer ??

Yes, there is a child safety control on the Whirlpool Duet. The Control Lock is a safety feature that allows the consumer to lock the control panel to prevent small children from manipulating the controls. The following link explains how to turn the feature on/off:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r2469429-kenmore_elite_amp_whirlpool_duet

If this does not correct your problem, then you may have a more serious problem than a simple operator control issue. If you need further assistance, please let me know. I hope this corrects the problem for you.

LG WM1285 WASHING MACHINE

hi Hills659.
this is all i could find out.
What does CL mean on LG washing machine?
LG Washer CL Code Definition (What does it mean?) = The CL Code on front loading LG washing machines simply means the CHILD LOCK feature is turned ON.
The CHILD LOCK feature on your LG washer is meant as a safety precaution so children are not able to change wash settings. CL is not an error code. It is indicating that the CL or CHILD LOCK feature has been turned ON and is active.
