The HP LaserJet 3050 uses the HP 12a cartridge. This can be purchased at most any office supply store for approx. $80. However, I recommend buying the remanufactured ones for around $65. In my opinion, both produce good quality prints. By the way, this is one of my favorite printers. Good choice!!!

if so pull out the toner cartridge, unscrew from both side, gently remove the drum & the magnetic mesh roller, be careful that the teflon cover is not affected n there is spring on one side, clean the drum with a soft cotton cloth n keep aside, now clean neatly the container vessel & magnetic-mesh roller using a brush, refill using 'original' refill pack, don't refill till brim, reassemble all, after reassembly, clean all toner spills using soft cotton cloth, blow some heat on the drum using a hair dryer..itz ready
..always hv an expert supervision n always use genuine spare n refills..dis will make ur pc last long....

HP Photosmart C6285 Printer gives me error: 0xc05d1281 "error in the inksystem" it say and i cannot print. All ink catridges are almost new, just replaced them. But it just stopped printing today...
Ink system errors are almost always fatal in these units. It's time to replace it. If it's still under warranty, cal 1-800-hp-invent and HP will replace it or send a voucher for the replacement cost including taxes. (hp does this for units where the shipping would cost more than the printer is worth...in most cases if the printer retails for under $100)

Hp deskjet 2430 does not recognized refilled hp 60 cartridge.
hi, if the catridge that came with the printer are both long catridges your refill must be long catridges too or one long and one short but both short will not work. so get the exact size that came along side the printer

Reset ink level on hp 6310 #98 cartridge I have been using refilled cartridges and the in level is ''empty'' even when the cartridge is new and just filled. how can I reset the ink level?
if you are using a refilled catridge you would not get ink levels right.
if you want right ink level use genuine ink catridges.
you can try taking out the catridges turning off the printer and turning it back on and then reinstalling the catridges.it might not help so if possible buy hp ink catridges.

Printer has been idle for several weeks.When I came to use it the printing is broken and faded looking.How do I clean the cartridges?
HP Deskjet 5550 Printer.

The deskjet printers should not be kept idle.

At least once in two or three days, you can take one page print out.

This has to be done, otherwise, the inks both Black and colour will get frozened and sometimes it will become dry at the catridge mouth.

Black Ink is 56 and Colour is 57.

Solution :

01. Manually remove both catridges from the printer carefully.

02. Shake the catridges with full force pointing towards ground. You can find out now, that ink is coming out from the catridges which was frozen or dried up.

03. Clean the cartridge drive with a nice cloth and cleaning liquid.

04. Re install both catridges and take a test print out.

05. Recommended to have a service contract with local HP Authroized printer vendor to have a regular maintenance at least once in a month.

Doesn't read new black cartridge
HP Laserjet 3055 - New Black Catridge.

Solution :

01. First remove all catridges from the Printer.
02. Clean the printer with Cleaning liquid in the catridge seating cover.
03. Re install the catridges gently and assure that it is properly seated.
04. Always use only genuine HP original catridges which will give longer life for the printer.
05. Refilled or Reinked ribbons will cause lot of damages to the printer.
06. Better to have the regular servicing for this printer.

If the problem continues, please call local authorized HP Printer service engineer.

Drvirao, if you're talking about just refilling the ink cartridge itself, there are refill kits available for purchase, some for a reasonable price. I've provided a link (just copy the entire link below and paste it into your web browser) I know for sure that HP provides Ink Cartridge Refill kits that you can purchase.
