Hello Abrsvcs, I have a Yamaha CDV-1200K (Laserdisc Karaoke) that is dead, shows no signs of power or alive. I'm suspecting the transformer might be dead... do you have any suggestions or schematics of this unit ? Please help. Re: Hi, i have a problem with this yamaha amps model...
Yamaha schematics are not usually released to the general public. Is there a specific problem? I may actually have an A1000 around that I can use to guide you.
A common problem on these amps ie no sound is due to dirty switches and tone contols, amp face needs taking off and contact cleaner needs spraying into all controls...

If you run through the setup and certify it knows about the center channel first, then test it with tiones, then maybe swap the center speaker with another one you might come to an answer.

if you wanted to use your receiver as your controller and source then try to find out the receivber has got a bridge (jumper) between the pre-amp stage and the power amp stage. if your receiver does not have that, then you can just connect your receiver tape record out to one of your DSP inputs. subwoofers, the DSP has got a sub woofer out connector. you can use that (RCA type) to your sub woofers. put in series because DSP has got only one output for sub. or, you can connect your subs directly to the mains speakers, parallel connections. maybe one sub to your left and the other to your right channel.

Dear Zforce,
The Yamaha DSP A1000 has three different options of on-screen display.
Try using the On-screen button on the remote control in order to remove the disturbing display.
If this fails or if your remote control malfunctions then you should contact Yamaha for further assistance.
