QUICK TIP: When finding a location for your range extender, it is best to place it within the same room as the computer.
You can also use https://192.168.206.1 to access the range extender's web-based setup page.
Step 1:
Place the range extender in an area where the Wi-Fi signal of your router is strong, but near where you want to establish your extended network.
Step 2:
Plug in the power supply of the range extender and make sure that it is powered ON. Shortly, its light will begin to flash blue and orange.
Step 3:
Place your computer near the range extender. Also, make sure your computer is not wired to any other network devices.
Step 4:
Connect your computer to the range extender by opening the list of Wi-Fi networks and selecting Belkin.setup. Confirm that the list shows it's connected.
Step 5:
Open a web browser, enter https://belkin.range into the Address bar, and follow the on-screen instructions. Don't forget to type "http".
Once the setup for your range extender is complete, you may connect the computer to its Wi-Fi.

SOURCE: Opening the NAT connection for Xbox 360 working through 2 routers

  1. How do you connect your Linksys router to Belkin router? Do you connect your Linksys router to the Internet/WAN port of the Belkin?
  2. If so, what is the Internet connection type set in your Belkin router? Is it dynamic?
  3. If the Belkin router is set to dynamic IP and if it is obtaining an IP address from your Linksys router(you may check the status page of your Belkin router and look for IP address), then you may need to forward or set that IP address as the DMZ to your Linksys router. Make sure that XBOX is still configured as the DMZ host in your Belkin
Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Wireless connection keeps dropping after about a day.

I had the same problem (see Jan 09) but I found the solution:
I had trouble with the router resetting from time to time, that was fixed by upgrading to firmware 1.05. But I still had the wireless problem.
For me, disabling 'UPnP' (advanced->advanced network) and disabling turbo G mode (setup->wireless setting) did the trick.
Work great since then, both my laptop and my media center stays connected, going on one month now.
Hope it can helps other.

change your wireless mode to either 802.11g or 802.11.n, do not use 802.11b&802.11g&802.11n option.

How do I Reset my Belkin wifi Extender?

Using the reset button The location of your range extender's reset button will vary depending on its model. The reset begins once you press and hold thereset button for at least 10 seconds while the range extender is powered ON. The Status Light on the the range extender will momentarily flash and will then begin to blink. When the light becomes solid again, the reset is complete.
Using the web-based setup page
If using the physical button does not work, you can access the range extender's web-based setup page and do the reset from there. Before you begin:
  • Make sure that the wireless computer or device you're using to access the web-based setup page is connected to the same network as the range extender.
  • You need to identify the IP address that your router has assigned to your range extender. Locate this by accessing your router's DHCP Client table. Once you have the range extender's assigned IP address, use it to access your range extender's web-based setup page.
  • Alternatively, you can enter "http://192.168.206.1" in the web browser's Address bar if your range extender has NOT detected a DHCP server in your network.
Step 1:
In the web-based setup page of the range extender, go to Utilities and select Restore Factory Defaults. QUICK TIP: You may be prompted to log in with your range extender's administrator password. If you have not set any, simply leave the field blank and click on Submit. Step 2:
Click on the Restore Factory Defaults button. Your Belkin range extender should now be restored to its factory default settings.
