LG WM-2277HW Front Load Washer Logo
Anonymous Posted on Jan 13, 2009

My LG front loading wm1814cw washer is leaking from the front panel (not from the door but underneath the front panel). I have to say about half of the water from the load is in the drip pan at the end of the cycle. When I tested it on a rinse & spin cycle it didn't do it but when I ran a full cycle it did it again. Any ideas?

Lg tromm washer leaking from front door

We have the same problem with our LG washer. Don't think the door can be adjusted but I'm not for sure. I think the gasket is wore out but haven't checked on fixing the problem yet because it barely leaks.

Front door leaks at the bottom

Make sure that the door is clean and free of any build-up of soap and fluff. The door seal forms part of the outer drum seal and this will need replacement if the above suggestion does not solve the problem.

Spin cycle appears to be broken. washer just hums

Humming can indicate a stalled motor...If a coin is jammed in the pump impeller it will often do what you describe...Check via pump filter access door...Good luck....Nomess

LG WM1814CW Front Load Washer rubber seal on front door collects water underneath and now has black mold, and a strong odor, like cigarette smoke.

Use some detergent plus baking soda and mix it in with the water--rub it around (with an old toothbrush) to loosen the mold. Let sit for a while, then wipe water, mold, and cleaner away. Finally, rinse with clean water and wipe dry. Leave the door ajar to air out after each wash. It will help to remove the standing water each time. Don't poke a hole in the seal to drain the water out, because water will then run out of the bottom of the washer.

Have a LG Tromm wm2688hnm and is leaking water? Does anyone know what causes this and how do you fix it?

If leaking from the bottom it could be a number of things and you would have to remove the back panel to start. Then do the rinse and spin and using a flashlight try to locate the leak. Have towels handy. For us, in our 5 yr old LG - the bellow (the black large tube connected to underneath the tub) had holes in it. A $10.00 part online.

LG wm1814cw washer is leaking from the front

Did you check the door bellow. I know you said it's not the door but if you really open that rubber pull it back and check it from top to bottom. let me know I'll keep thinking.
