Conia CCD4501 cloths dryer not blowing hot air anymore

I have a Conia CCD4501 cloths dryer which has stopped blowing hot air . It blows cold air only on the hot air cycle. The dryer still operates fine, but doesnt have hot cycle anymore. The cold cycle light is operating ok when switching between cold and hot ,so I thought the turn switch is Ok.

If you can turn it on and have the door open, hold the door switch in and see if you have a glow from the heating element. If not, your element is broken. That is if it is an electric dryer. If it is a gas dryer you need to check the pilot light or the thermo sensor.

I have a Conia CCD4501 dryer and I bought it second hand and I am happy with it except I don't understand why there is so much lint stuck to the dry clothes. The lint catcher has lint in it but there is a lot of lint around the door opening.

Dryer wont heat for more than 10 minutes when cold

did you clean the vent line?THAT COULD MAKE IT RUN HOT THE AIR CAN'T BLOW OUTSIDE,BUT WITH THE DRYER HAVING HEAT WHEN IT STARTS AND THEN AFTER LIKE 10 MINUTES NO HEAT IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE BAD GAS COILS,WHEN THE COILS ARE STARTING TO FAIL THEY WILL WORK FOR LIKE THE FIRST 10 TO 20 MINUTES AND WHEN THEY HEAT UP NO GAS,WHEN THE COOL THEY WILL WORK AGAIN,I WOULD CHANGE THE COILS AND CLEAN OUT THE DRYER AND VENT LINE,THIS SHOULD BE DONE ONCE A YEAR SO YOU DON'T HAVE A FIRE AND YOUR CLOTHES WILL DRY ON TIME,EVERYONE THINKS SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE DRYER AND ALL THAT HAPPENS IS THE VENT LINE AND THE DUCT WHERE THE LINT FILTER SLIDES INTO FILLS WITH LINT AND THE AIR CAN'T BLOW AROUND GOOD ANYMORE,ALSO WITH A SHOP VAC VAC UP THE LINT WHERE THE BURNER AND MOTOR IS AND THEN SET THE VAC UP TO BLOW AND BLOW THE MOTOR AND GAS BURNER OUT,DO THIS AND YOU'LL HARDLY HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE DRYER

Dryer not drying clothes

Hello, does the dryer drum turn? If the dryer drum is moving. Is the dryer blowing hot air, cold air, no air at all? Now, if it's doing everything mention above escept blowing hot air then you'll need a new heating element. If not blow air, then the drum belt is broken, belt off, or the drum motor has gone south. It was put for a quitt. Which mean in New Mexico, they fired me, I don't work, no job, finished, I'am out of here, don't bury me with my wires exposed. I hope I was some help to you. have a nice day and be safe, GB. stewbison

My dryer will only dry on certain settings. It won't dry on auto anymore. After it runs a while it gets hot and stops, it won't run on any setting. After it cools it will run a while but it takes hours to...

Check your vent on the outside of the house! If you do not have a lot of air passing through the vent, the dryer will overheat and can ruin the thermostats and the heating element. Clean the vent out and check to make sure the vent hose is not pinched causing a restriction. If the vent is blowing forceful air, then it could be a thermostat but I doubt it. If it does not run in auto when it's cold, chances are that your timer is faulty.

No longer blows hot air, only cold air

when a dryer does'ny blow hot air,it's normally either the element or the stats on the element.

Our dryer does not blow hot air? The cloths do not

more than likely the heating element has gone out. if your clothes have no heat then the element is the most likely cause. you can get one for anywhere between $30 - $50. you'll need to know model and serial #'s. usually easy to replace.

OUR KENMORE DRYER BLOWS OUT COLD AIR

It's most likely a thermal fuse if it's a gas dryer. very easy to install. If your dryer is electric, it's either the thermal cut-off or the heating element itself. If you need help with anything, please feel free to e-mail me. good luck :)

Dryer

Disconnect the vent from the back of the dryer and dry a load unvented too make sure you don't have lint built up in the vent line causing an air flow restriction.
