I have an XO Vision 1735 and I hooked up a back up camera. I power it off of my reverse light wires. But, the problem I am having is that the camera doesn't work when hooked up to the back up camera input on the stereo. Right now I have it plugged into the aux. input and it works, but it has to be in aux. mode. My question is, should the back up camera come on when put in reverse when the stereo is in any mode ex. (radio)? And why does it not work when plugged into the camera input? To the question above, try powering the camera off of your reverse light wires. And I also wired the pink wire to ground which will allow your passengers to view DVD's without being in park. Hope this helps.

I am just giving a suggestion. I too need to know how to wire this. From what you posted it sounds like you hooked the wire to a constant +12v that is always on. Forgive me if I am wrong. Anyway, Did you connect this wire to rear reverse light power. I think from what you say it is supposed to be connected to the positive side of that light. If this solves your problem can you PLEASE let me know the full details of everything else you hooked up on the circuit to make the backup work. For instance what is the label of the orange wire. TIA.

I am having the same problem. For testing purpose I have the pos/neg from the camera to the pos/neg on the battery. The camera video out is to the XO1935 video in but I get nothing. I tried touching the reverse wire to a pos just to see if it made a difference, still nothing. any ideas?

Xo vision xtab factory reset

I had been trying to locate how to access the recovery options for the XO Vision XTAB tablet as well. Mine would show the XO Vision logo on start-up and then show a cursor in the upper left corner for a few seconds and then showed "ANDROID" a little further down and to the right of the upper left hand corner with a flashing cursor right behind it.

I was finally able to get into the recovery options press HOME, VOLUME UP, & POWER at the same time and hold for about 6 seconds or so. You need to let go before the XO Vision logo goes away. Wait until the logo goes away and a cursor should display in the upper left hand corner and then you'll get to the recovery / update options screen.

Use the VOLUME UP / DOWN keys to navigate the menu and then you'll press MENU to select the option. After that let it run through its processes until it completes. My attempt was unsuccessful at a factory reset and I'm still not sure how to fix it, however, you may have better luck.

Does the reverse gear wire need to be hooked up to make the unit work. Also does the reverse wire need 12vdc to make the dvd player function. This is for an xo Vision XO1930.

no

im guessing that you are asking this because you cant be bothered to strip the car down for one wire?

i belive the the radio only needs this wire to show a reverse camera on screen or something
so if you dont have the reverse camera then i recomend that you first leave nothing on the reverse wire and test the radio
it should work
if it does what you want it to do then put the car back together and put the radio back in place

XO Vision GX-1581 No Signal

It looks like you've narrowed it down to a settings issue. If it is saying "No Signal" while on AV2, then you need to switch to AV1 where your video signal is. A remote might be available online from XO Vision (www.xovision.com) directly or on E-bay. You might also be able to find a local dealer of XO Vision from their website. One quick fix you can try....since the monitor has 2 video inputs and is stuck on AV2, you can simply get video by unplugging the video input on AV1 and plugging it into AV2. Hope this was helpful.

E- brake bypass

Thanks for everyone's help. The bcar screen actually is the backup camera screen which is activated by the orange wire and when I turned on the lights, it got activated. I disconnected the orange wire and everything is fine. When I get a backup camera I'll connect that wire to the backup lights so that it will come on whenever I put the car in reverse. You are right that their manual is not very clear at all. I called their tech support and they couldn't help me trouble shoot the problem either. The unit is functioning perfect now but my next beef is that you can't change the XO vison default screen when a cd is playing. It would have been nice if you can scroll some jpeg shots of anything else besides looking at the xovision logo. I guess I can't have it all for $340 so, I'll stop whinning.
