You can set the maximum volume limit by going to settings then playback and then volume limit. This will show you the current volume limit, use the click wheel to select the maximum volume limit and then press the centre button to set the limit. Hope this helps.
take the headphones out play the music full volume then put the headphones in and lower the music all the way down then your volume will be normal and it will only play in through the head phones unless you take headphones out then it will play through speakers
Most often, the ear phone might be the problem.try getting a new ear phone preferable, one from another manufacturer,if it does the same way, the problem will be from the earphone port.
