Hello Javargas - Your unit will work fine with any generic 12V DC 3 AMP AC adapter.
It's probably marked somewhere on the back of the unit (at least the 12V part).
If you have trouble finding one with 3 AMPs you can buy universal ones that will dial up automatically the voltage/amps the unit needs.
The generic kind can be had for about $20 (USD) while the second kind usually sells for around $35-40.
the unit will only draw the amps it needs, at that low of amps it should not even turn on.
However the voltage is the question YOU CAN NOT USE A POWER SUPPLY THAT HAS MOVE VOLTAGE.
THINGS TO CONSIDER;
is the unit AC or DC
are you applying the right voltage (9VDC 1000MA) (9VAC 1000MA)
if it's AC you can not use DC and vice versa
Thefollowing three conditions should be met for you to use a charger safely.
1)Output Voltage is within +/- 5% of your old charger's output. For example, ifyour old charger provides 19.5V, then you can use a charger that provides 20.5Vor 18.5V. 2) Output Current is the same or higher than that of your old charger. For example, ifyour original adapter provides 3.42 Amps, then you can use a charger thatprovides 3.42 Amps, 3.9 Amps or higher. 3) Connector tip must fit securely into your laptop.Pleasecheck carefully before using nx9110 adapter on t30.
If you have the original adapter simply purchase a generic adapter with the same connection type, amp/current and voltage. Otherwise it will show on the products sticker, normally with the model and serial number, what input the ac/dc adapter uses. Im assuming from the information given you need to purchase a 9 volt adapter with an amp or current rating of 500mA or 0.5 amps. I hope this helps. Good luck.
If it is a standard AC adapter you are looking for, just buy a universal ac adapter that you can use for different things. The Velleman Compact Universal AC Power Supply (I searched Amazon.com) comes with different tips and you can adjust the voltage.
To recharge this unit at home use the AC charging adapter. Plug one end of the adapter into the AC/DC charger input port. Which is marked as number 7 on the image below. Then plug the other end of the adapter into a standard wall outlet. The charging port is located on the front of your power center and looks like the image below. If you did not get an AC charging adapter with your power center check the manual to see exactly what type you need. You will need to know the Voltage and AMPs of the adapter. Go to Radio Shack or an electronics store and purchase an adapter. It is very important that you make sure you get the right one. Your manual should tell you how many hours it takes to completely charge your power center.
You will need at least a 4 amp rated regulated 12 Volt power supply. These are commercialy available from most electronics parts suppliers. They come on a circuit board. You can mount it in your own case and use the original Viewsonic wire end. If you do a google search for 12 volt reglated power supplies you should find many of these.
However, with a second-hand Sprint AC adapter with 3A, 12v adapter, the screen blinks on and off intermittently. Obviously there is some difference here between a class 2 adapter and a power supply box.
